The IPL has become one of the most awaited sporting tournaments in India and the world at large, quite akin to the gladiator matches in ancient Rome. Adding to this already heady mixture of sport and entertainment is a unique contest, which the IPL Chairman Lalit Modi along with the franchise owners Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty announced. The DLF-IPL 2 will have an initiative attached to it and that is lining up a mini-beauty pageant, named Miss Bollywood SA.At all the 56 league games, one girl from the crowd will be named a winner at each of the games. One finalist from each venue will be chosen, leaving eight winners in the final round to be held on May 24 during the final. This final lucky winner could earn a role in a Hindi film, Rand 50,000 and also the title of Miss Bollywood SA. The winner will be chosen by a special panel.
Winners will be shown on the big screen at every match during the second five-minute strategy break. Fans too can vote for each match winner on the official website of IPL.
