Sophie’s close encounter with LTTE

On Saturday Sophie was in Colombo for a show, it was the same day when LTTE had managed an air strike in Colombo. Sophie was really lucky and even managed to escape unhurt. When contacted Sophie she exclaimed” I really escaped the attacks and am really petrified by the whole incident now.” Sources close to her adds, ” The dancers for the show were stuck at the airport, and when the whole crew was going to check out from the airport suddenly news came in that LTTE had dealt out two big Air Strikes On Colombo near the airport terminal and there after firing began near the airport. The whole dance crew was taken to the basement and there was a huge power cut that took place which lasted around an hour. It’s so scary Sophie couldn’t believe it. Usually they always travel together. Sophie had to go to Jaipur with some work so Sophie boarded a plane from Jaipur and the crew boarded from Mumbai we were on different flights. That’s why Sophie reached Colombo early and was safe. Sophie was constantly in touch with the whole crew updating them about the happenings and also trying to keep them calm and composed. The whole crew escaped the incident unhurt and returned back to Mumbai the next day itself. Sophie recollects, ” The whole experience as a big shock to her.”

The child actors from Slumdog Millionaire are not your typical movie stars. They didn't grow up in Bel Air, they don't attend posh private schools, nor do they hang out with other celebrities. They grew up in the slums of Mumbai, and one lucky break got them a trip to Los Angeles, a walk down the most glamorous red carpet, and a trip to Disneyland. After a whirlwind trip to Hollywood, 10 year-old Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and his nine-year-old co-star Rubina Ali returned to Mumbai as movie stars only to be depressed about their current living situations. "I don't want to sleep on the floor anymore. I want a proper bed and live where the air does not smell of poo. I have seen what it is like in America. Here, there is garbage everywhere, people get angry, swear and shout. I have realized how bad life is here. I just want to get out, " Rubina declared when she returned. Hollyscoop caught up with Anil Kapoor from the Oscar winning movie to get his thoughts on the how the success of the movie will impact the young stars. "I spoke to all the parents over there, I told them they shouldn't focus on getting the children more roles, but focus on education instead, " Kapoor told Hollyscoop during an exclusive one-on-one interview at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. "If they do more and more films as child actors, they become slightly lost, " adding that he "only did one film as a child, but fortunately it didn't get released." But he confessed that he wouldn't be surprised if after they finish their education, they make a return to the big screen. "I wouldn't be surprised if during the 100th anniversary of the Oscars, they pick up an award for Best Actor or Best Actress, " Anil told Hollyscoop. Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, Rubiana Ali In response to the reports that Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, who plays the youngest version of the main character's brother Salim, got slapped by his father for being "too jet lagged" to work, Anil said, "Sometimes there is a lot of speculation and sometimes there are things that are really blown out of proportion. I don't believe everything I read, but I'll see it with my own eyes soon. I'm going to send a good press release (to the States) to clear things up." While the child stars are having a difficult time readjusting to life in the slums, government aides have stepped in to provide proper housing for Mumbai's newest stars. "I think the government has really given them a lot of respect, love and recognition, " said Kapoor. "Two of them are getting new houses. Everyone is getting a lot as far as education is concerned too. They'll be well taken care of, " Anil assures Slumdog fans, "trust me!" While Anil doesn't believe that Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali should go back into acting, he would love to see them make a cameo on Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Slumdog edition. Forbes magazine has just voted Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan the most bankable star from Bollywood in Hollywood. And this, just when the desi media has been carping about her abbreviated role in her latest Hollywood release Pink Panther 2. Aishwarya has been voted among Forbes’ “Most Valuable Actors” ahead of Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Irrfan Khan. And now there’re a number of hush-hush international projects on the anvil for Aishwarya including, apparently, one with actress and chat-show hostess Tyra Banks and a project with Will Smith who has been craving to cast Ash right from the time he offered her Hitch and the recent 7 Pounds. Sushmita-Randeep kiss creates a furore

Sushmita Sen is not at all happy these days. It is because of her new movie ‘Karma aur Holi’ in whichshe is playing the lead along with Randeep Hooda. The issue is that Sushmita is not happy with a kissing scene with her one time boyfriend Randeep and is cribbing that the producers are using this footage to gain in more publicity. As reported by a leading tabloid, Sushmita said, “My problem is that the makers of Karma aur Holi are promoting the film by sending out sleazy stories. This is not done. This is not the way to promote a film. These obnoxious strategies of promoting a film are simply unethical”. We tried getting in touch with Sushmita but she remained unavailable for any comments. We did get in touch with Randeep Hooda who had once got the opportunity to date the beauty queen. He stormed in saying, “I think one should just do their job. Everyone was doing their job. There are a lot of actors involved, a lot of technicians, production people, directors, producers involved in the film. By just going to the press and lashing out statements is a very unethical thing on Sushmita’s part”. When asked about the fuss she is making to remove the much-hyped kissing scene between her and Randeep, he said, “I don’t know anything about it so I think it is logical for me not to even comment on it”. The little dreamer from the slums who tried hard to be happy with the hand-me-down dresses and dolls of the rick and priviled, but hates her second -hand existence. All of 8, this amazimg bundle of talent is a joy to behold. Ask her where she learnt acting and Sparsh confidently replies, "Kahin bhi nahin. I just know what to do and say. I think about the little girl Ichcha who has none of the things that I do. I put myself in her place and then I just do what I have to. Yes I do feel sorry for Ichcha. But she's got a loving Mama, just like me." Such gravity and wisdom at 8! Doesn't Sparsh miss the normal little-girl's existence. "Why should I?" she shoots back. "I do everything I want to. I go to school in the mornings. Then shooting is in the afternoon. I go to sleep in the car and wake up only when I reach my shooting, "says this ordinary middleclass girl from Ulhasnagar who has suddenly been catapulted to popularity. "Do you really like my performance?" she questions. "I've done another serial Mera Sasural (on Sahara) where I played the heroine's bachpan ka role, and also another film (a music video of nursery rhymes) and I play Suniel Shetty uncle's daughter in the film Red Alert." Now of course it's the daily Uttaran on Colors all the way for little Sparsh. And she seems to be enjoying every bit of the attention. "My friends in school call me Ichcha or Hichki (her two names in the serial). Between school and the sets, I don't get tired because there's enough time to do everything. I do my homework on the sets and take naps between shots. I eat and do masti. In –between shots I play with Tapasya (real name Ishita, the girl who plays her friend)." Mother Sarita adds, "I really don't know where she got the talent from. Because we don't have any actors in our family."

At 5, I made my singing debut with none other than Mohammed Rafi: Sagarika Mukherjee

She sashayed onto the musical scene when the album culture was just beginning to strike root in the country. But Sagarika left an impression. So much so 'Q-Funk, ' 'Naujawan, ' 'Roop Inka Mastana' and 'Maa' are remembered by music buffs even years after their release. Sagarika, the older sister of Bollywood singing sensation Shaan, took a break from the industry for a few years post marriage. Now on a comeback trail, the singer was in the city recently to sing a solo for composer Sunny Viswanath. Excerpts from an interview: On staging a comeback After marriage, I wanted to take a break for a year but it went on to be five years! In the meanwhile, I raised my boys - Michel and Joshua - and transformed myself into a restaurateur. My husband and I set up the Olive Bar and Kitchen chain of restaurants. Now it's time to come out of the bawarchi image! We moved to London some time ago. A chance meeting with UK based percussionist Talvin Singh was an eye-opener. Together we did an 18 city tour of Europe and I sang mild classical numbers. The response and encouragement I got was tremendous. My singing debut That happened when I was five and with none other than Mohammed Rafi! Mummy picked me up from school and we went straight to the recording studio. Singing the track, putting on the headphones...it was all new to me. It was only years later that I realised that I had shared the microphone with a legend. The Bollywood encounter As a child artist, I sang in nearly 15 films and did a number of jingles. As a teenager, I lent my voice to a couple of Hindi films. But I've not had many good experiences with the composers in the industry. Being a girl, it was tough to survive there. If a composer gave me a song, it was as if he was doing me a great favour than regarding it as a professional exchange. My tastes didn't match Bollywood's; so I moved away. Turning point When Atul Chiramani of Magna Sounds invited me to do an album song, little did I know what was in store. I took Shaan along and introduced him to Atul and composer Biddu. Thus 'Naujawan' happened. It was a hit and our lives changed. Q-Funk came next and sold a million copies. 'Disco Deewane' 'Fifty Fifty' and 'Maa' were also lapped up by the public. I needed a break I was growing a little tired of stage shows, fan following and recognition and wanted time to discover my space as a singer. In the meanwhile, I got married to Martin Da Costa (he runs an event management company in Mumbai), had kids and got into the hospitality industry. The shift to London brought my hibernating music career back to life. Now I'm experimenting with different styles of music and listening to gifted singers from all over the globe. It was only after the European tour that I realised that I had been leading a frog-in-the-well existence! Am happy to discover a soul enriching world outside. In fact, when we shifted base to London, I was in search of this feeling. Now that my younger one has learnt to speak and can voice his needs, I am ready to take a plunge into music. My brother, Shaan Being the older one, I was always protective of him. I remember the days when he used to imitate Kishore Kumar's voice before he finally developed his own style. Today, when I see young singers aspiring to be Shaan, I feel so happy for that little boy who cried at a recording 'coz his voice didn't gel with the music. Music is in our blood (Shaan and Sagarika are the children of the late Bengali composer Manash Mukherjee). He has lived true to dad's advice "Never be satisfied with mediocrity." Am happy for his success. The jodi again? We'd love to work together again. The last time we came together was for 'Tomor Aakash' (2004), a Bengali album in which we brought out dad's unreleased songs. London dreams Music is big time out there. It's an exciting city. Thanks to the acceptance and respect they get in London, many Indian classical artists have made the city their home. It's an amalgam of every culture you can think of. I love being there. My hobbies I finally became net savvy! It's amazing to have the whole world on a tiny screen. I thoroughly enjoy surfing the net. We often frequent restaurants, especially Polish and Japanese. It's fun taking the kids to cultural shows and children's theatres. Now that I'm trying to build a career in music in London with a Brazilian band, am into learning Portuguese and Brazilian. Looking forward to Making quality music in collaboration with talented musicians from all over the world. I preferred melodies but now I am into experimenting with different moods and textures. Some time later, I'll delve into devotional music but not the typical style we are used to listening to. It'll be something different.

But Amrita decided to get introspective. “You know, the minute I set my eyes on Shakeel I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. It’s like a karmic connection. I just felt it. I had never felt this before. Shakeel is everything that I want my husband to be. And I’m determined to make our marriage work. I’ll do whatever it takes.” Ask her about the honeymoon which will follow the sangeet on Thursday and the nikaah on Friday and Amrita shrugs, “ The problem is, both Shakeel and I are so widely traveled we’ve nowhere to go that we can claim as being our private honeymoon spot. There doesn’t seem to be any place that neither of us has not visited. I guess we’ll just hold each other’s hand close our eyes and point to any part of the globe as our honeymoon spot. Indian Idol finally gets its first female winner

This time, the foruth series of popular TV show ‘Indian Idol’ was unique as the show finally got its first female winner in the form of Sourabhee Debbarma, who won title of ‘Indian Idol 4′ on Sunday ruling out her close contestants the Bengali girl Torsha Sarkar and army man Kapil Thapa. The 22 year old girl who surprisingly has had no professional training in music walked away with a Rs.10 million contract with Sony TV and a car. The result was based on public voting.

The celebrity guests of the finale included Bollywood stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh, who had come to promote their forthcoming film ‘New York’.

Others from the Indian film and music industry, including judges Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher and Sonali Bendre, too were present to cheer the finalists.

Priyanka Chopra goes de-glam for ‘Kaminay’

Her recent releases ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ saw her in ultra glam roles with trendy mini skirts and even a bikini. Now, Priyanka Chopra is set for an image makeover with Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Kaminay’ in an all de-glam role. Priyanka plays a college going girl in the movie and to make her look at par with the character, she had to forego makeup in the film.

“In terms of look, it’s definitely not glamorous. In fact, you don’t really see me wearing too much make up in the film,” Priyanka told.

Speaking about her character in the film, Priyanka says: “Sweety is a very real character. She is a college-going girl in her early 20s and we have tried to keep her extremely believable. We tried to ensure that the look fits the characterization.”

Priyanka says that she had absolutely no apprehension about going de-glam for her role, “It was a conscious decision. I have always striven to do different things in each and every film of mine, be it with the character or the look. That’s visible in films like ‘Don’, ‘Love Story 2050′, ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’. In continuation of that, ‘Kaminay’ and ‘What’s Your Rashee’ (by Ashutosh Gowariker) will see me essaying different characters, far removed from what I have ever played. I am very excited about both!”

’Kaminay’ is set to release on June 5 and the film will also see chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor in double roles.

Preity Zinta in Napier to cheer Indian team

Bollywood star Preity Zinta made a surprise visit to the McClean park, moments before the toss in the first ODI between India and New Zealand there to cheer The Kings Eleven Punjab, an IPL franchisee co-owned by Zinta.

“I have been invited by the New Zealand Prime Minister and will be attending the official function hosted for the Indian team on March 5 at Wellington,” said Preity, who looked gorgeous as ever clad in faded blue jeans and a blood-red top.

Preity briefly met Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Irfan Pathan before the start of the match and wished them well. “I met Yuvraj, Dhoni and Irfan briefly. Nothing much,” she revealed.

Indian team moral was already down by white wash in T20 series. But it seems her present has worked magic and Indian team won that day’s match.

Shahid’s dual act in Kaminey

Shahid Kapoor starrer Kaminey is creating quite a buzz ever since the trailers of the film hit theatres. The actor is playing a double role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s film which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Amole Gupte.

Shahid who is playing a double role in the film is already garnering a lot of praise from industry insiders for his performance.

“Shahid has really done great work in this film. For the first time he is playing a double role- the story revolves around identical twins Charlie and Guddu who want to leave behind their uncomfortable and poor life and make it big. Both the twins would like to achieve the same thing but they choose opposite methods to get there,” informs a source from the film.

So to acquire those dreams these twin brothers run from their home. They both meet Priyanka's brother played by Amole Gupte who is this big don type character. Priyanka on the other hand falls in love with one of the brothers.

The source adds that Shahid who has till date been seen in chocolate boy roles will be seen in quite a different avatar. “Vishal Bharadwaj has written a fantastic screenplay. Shahid’s roles are totally opposite: one is his usual lover boy role while the other is this dark character uses bad language and stammers,” adds our source.

Bharadwaj’s Kaminey is set for release on June 5th and will be Shahid’s first release in almost a year since Kismet Konnection’s debacle at the box office.

Asin: I’m here to stay

Asin received the Best Debutante Award, but the lovely girl felt a bit “weird” about it.

“It feels a little funny to receive a debut award after you’ve done a few films. But yes, Ghajini is my first Hindi film. I got a Filmfare Award even for my South Ghajini at the South Filmfare awards. I enjoy cinema, be it Bollywood or South. I love the grandeur of these awards and I’m not going to leave Bollywood so soon. I’m addicted to it already. But that doesn’t make South cinema any less.

Who's performing at Amrita’s sangeet

Bollywood actress Amrita Arora’s getting married, you know, to Mumbai builder Shakeel Ladak, and guess who’s dancing at her sangeet on Thursday?

The bride-to-be’s best friend, Bollywood hottie Kareena Kapoor! Rehearsals for the big event are already on and Kareena, being Kareena, has also roped in Saif Ali Khan to shake a leg with her. Whether the Chotte Nawab, who is reticent in these matters, is a reluctant participant is not known. What is certain is that Kareena has him dancing to her tune at the sangeet!

Other star performers include Amrita’s sexy item girl sister Malaika Arora-Khan and husband Arbaaz, Malaika’s sister-in-law Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri, and Wardha Nadiadwala. Farah Khan, who else, will choreograph the numbers for the sangeet that have been selected from Amrita’s films but which are being kept a secret from her until the big night. However, Kareena will dance to a Golmaal song. And Arbaaz and make-up expert Mallika will dance to Kajra Re.

Meanwhile, the senior Aroras, Amrita and Malaika’s parents, are expected to lead the youngsters on the floor by putting on a show themselves to Disco 82! Most of Bollywood that is in Mumbai on Thursday is expected to attend the sangeet and then the reception the next day. And, to conclude the sangeet, all the guests will dance to It’s Rocking. The question being asked by friends attending the sangeet is what number will Salman bhai dance to!

It isn't easy to make it to Bollywood: Kunal Khemu

In his latest film Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge, Kunal Khemu plays a lower middle class boy whose honesty gets him into trouble. Here Kunal talks about his role in the film, his journey into Bollywood as well as an incident while shooting that left him petrified.

Tell us about your role in Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge?
Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge is a completely mad film. It’s a laughter riot from start to finish. I play a lower middle class boy called Anand Pawar. He is hard working and honest but his honesty makes his life miserable.

How often do you lie in real life?
I don’t really lie but if it were to save someone’s life then of course I wouldn’t mind. I think everybody tells a few lies. As a child, I have told many to my parents.

What memories did you take with you after shooting for the film?
Many memorable moments happen with each film you do. During the shooting of DRJ I had to do a sequence that required me to jump from a six storey building- there was no crane, no safety air bags. While doing it, it went down so fast but thankfully it stopped a little above the ground and I was safe. It was very scary.

Have you struggled like other actors to get to your position in Bollywood?
Honestly speaking, it takes a lot of struggling to make it to Bollywood. But in my case, I didn’t have to struggle too much. When my academics got over, I went to Bhatt saab and after six months I was offered Kalyug. So you can say that it was luck or destiny that gave me the chance to start so early.

Post Kalyug, you became a star overnight but your later films didn’t do well.
I don’t think that there is any existing man who can predict whether the film will be a flop or a hit after reading a script. There are many more aspects to a film which determines its success at the box office. I can only play my part the best that I can.

Before joining Bollywood, were you formally trained in acting?
No, I have not been to any acting class. Before I got into Bollywood, I used to take part in my academic cultural activities.

If not an actor, what would you have been?
Even if I hadn’t been an actor I would have been some kind of performer. I can’t see myself working in an office. I would have been a stage performer or got into theater.

What is a dream role that you would love to play?
I don’t have any kind of assumptions like that. I do whatever role I get. I work hard at it and make them into my dream roles.

You’re built like a man but have a baby face. What’s your fitness regime like?
It’s a good thing. My skin will age slower so I consider it an added benefit. I visit the gym and that is more than enough for me. I never seek out advice from skin specialists unless there really is a problem. Apart from the gym, I am useless at personal care.

Kajol: I love my life the way it is

On the occasion of Women's Day, Complete Wellbeing features the popular actress Kajol on their cover page. In the interview Kajol reveals her thoughts on how women are different for men, women's role in the family unit, and what health means to her. Asked about fulfillment, she vehemently declares, "I love my life the way it is".

The effervescent actor gives a unique and little-known insight into what makes her tick and her source of inner strength-a perspective.

Some excerpts from the interview:

What is your perception of your self? Do you see yourself as a happy person?
My perception changes daily. On certain days, I am happy, energetic, confident and on some others, I am not. Every day, you eventually strive to be whatever you wish to be. And I think it's an on-going struggle for everybody. Nobody is completely balanced, completely happy or completely sad. I think it's really a struggle every day to be as complete a human being as you can. And isn't that the beauty of life?

What's health to you?
To me, mental health and mental peace is more important than physical fitness. If you accept yourself and feel good about it, you will remain fit. Whether you are fat or thin, short or tall, dark or fair-at the end of the day it does not really matter as long as you like yourself, accept yourself. What matters is how you are on the inside. At the core we are all energy. This energy is beyond definitions. It is intangible and cannot be described. As long as we know that this part of us is healthy, we are healthy. That is what I believe is being truly healthy.

Do you mean to say physical attributes don't matter?
I think most people are too hard on themselves about their bodies. But I think it's not such a big deal. It's really OK to be a little overweight. You do not have to be a perfect 36-24-36 to feel happy, If you are fat and are happy with yourself, then who says you're fat? Come to think of it, weight is a factor of the gravitational force. If there was no gravity on earth, we would not know the meaning of overweight or underweight.

Is Rensil’s film inspired by Arlington Road

Apparently, the Saif-Kareena starrer is inspired from 1999 thriller Arlington Road.

A source tells us, “So far it was known that both New York and Rensil’s D’Silva’s film were similar. However, both are loosely inspired from Arlington Road. The films will also remind people of Khuda Kay Liye as they are based on a similar subject, that of terrorism and of Muslims living in America and innocent Muslims being framed in the wake of 9/11.”

In Arlington Road, Michael Faraday (Jeff Bridges) is a widower, having lost his FBI agent wife. He has a 9 year old son. He is a specialist in American terrorism and becomes suspicious of his new neighbours, Oliver and Cheryl Lang (Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack) who he meets while taking his son to the hospital after a reported fireworks accident. Michael realizes that his neighbours are just not architects as they pretend to be and smells something fishy. He also figures out the stories they have been cooking about their identity. The Langs blackmail Michael’s girlfriend to join them. As Michael covers more evidence against them, no one is willing to believe his wild theories. In the end, after a series of events, he ends up becoming a victim of their plan as the Langs have planted a bomb in his car which blows up in a garage killing him and 185 other people. Michael is considered a terrorist, seeking revenge for his wife’s death. His son is orphaned and the Langs get away scot-free.

In Rensil’s film, Saif and Kareena play a Muslim couple who are terrorists living a double life. Vivek is the second lead in the film and he is also a terrorist. Minissha Lamba plays a journalist who is his love interest. Om Puri also has an important role in the film. Irrfan was approached to play the role of a terrorist in the film but he turned it down. What is to be seen is that will Saif and Kareena be killed in the end. Rensil who has written Rang De Basanti isn’t someone who adheres to happy endings as the four heroes died at the end of Rang De Basanti. The film, whose story is by Karan Johar, has been written by Anurag Kashyap. It is being filmed in London, Mumbai and Delhi and will release towards the end of this year.

Ranbir Kapoor glows on the cover of GQ

He was all over the place when he made his debut with Saawariya. This was followed up with his Adonis act in his next film Bachna Ae Haseeno, in which he got to romance not one, not two, but three hot looking women! 'Hrithik is not having an affair with Barbara Mori!’

With tabloids broadcasting actor Hrithik Roshan’s chemistry with Mexican hottie Barbara Mori, Kites director Anurag Basu reveals what exactly is going on between the two!

The facts as we know it:

1. Hrithik Roshan gets along well with Barbara Mori and her family.
2. The Roshans attended the recent Star Screen Awards with Barbara and her boyfriend.
3. Barbara was by his side when he was admitted to the Reliance Hospital at Andheri, northwestern Mumbai, after an accident on the sets of Kites.
4. Hrithik is close to Barbara’s son, Sergio Jr.
5. The Roshans pay the rent for Barbara’s serviced apartment in Juhu, where she stays with her family. They also provided her with an expensive vanity van.
6. Hrithik’s wife Suzanne and his sister Sunaina are reportedly good friends with Barbara too.

That has been fodder for the rumour mills to go into overdrive, sparking off news of an ‘affair’ between the two. “Hrithik and Barbara Mori are not having an affair!” claims director Anurag Basu.

“The truth is,” says Basu, “Barbara can’t speak English properly and has a heavy accent. I don’t speak very good English myself. So Hrithik plays mediator and translator between the two of us (while shooting for Kites). I explain the scenes to him and he explains them to her. They get along very well as costars and help each other a lot.”

Basu adds, “Barbara obviously does not know Hindi and people in Mumbai will not understand her accented English. So Hrithik and Susanne, who are very hospitable people, are helping her get around town. This is her first visit to Mumbai and Bollywood and they want to make it as memorable and perfect (for her) as possible. After all, the Roshans are producing the film. People saw Hrithik and Barbara meeting off the sets, and stories of their affair started. In reality, there is nothing like that.”

With all the attention focused on Hrithik and Barbara, the other actor in the film, Kangana Ranaut, is conspicuous by her absence. Anurag explains, rather bluntly, “The truth is, Barbara has a meatier role in the film. Her character is more important. The film revolves around the love story between Hrithik and Barbara’s character.”

Kites is a love triangle between Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori. Hrithik plays a Salsa dance instructor whom Kangana and Barbara fall in love with at different points of time. Hrithik has also sung a song in the film.

The film has been shot in Las Vegas, Mexico, Maldives and Mumbai and is slated for a Diwali release this year.
