Aditi Govitrikar is an Indian model, actress and a physician. Aditi Gowitrikar did her schooling in Barns High School, Panvel and was year 12 topper from Art Science and Commerce college in Panvel. She did her MBBS from Grant Medical College .
Aditi Gowitrikar is a gynaecologist by profession. However, she started her career as a model after winning the Gladrags contest in 1996. She was selected Mrs. World in 2001 (held on December 2000). She has done notable roles in many Hindi and South Indian- language films and has also done commercials with several major companies including Coca Cola. Her foremost modeling project came from Ponds. After that she went on to win the title of Mrs. World in the 2001 contest. She has acted in television serials like "Ye Meri Life Hai" and participated in television shows Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi, Bigg Boss Season 3.
She has two children and is now separated from her husband Dr. Sarah Muffazal Lakdawala.

Akshay in Bigg Boss 3 for DE DANA DAN, Katrina Kaif on bed rest!!

Khiladi of bollywood Akshay Kumar who plays the lead in Priyadarshan’s upcoming flick ‘De Dana Dan’ and is already making waves for his sizzling rain song with co-star Katrina Kaif, will have to enter the 'Bigg Boss 3' house without Katrina kaif beacause Katrina kaif is ill.

Sources close to Katrina Kaif say that the firangi beauty has been advised by doctors at Leelavati Hospital to take complete bed rest for at least one week, which means she can not take part in any of the promotional events of the flick as it is releasing worldwide on November 27.

Though Katrina Kaif had been feeling weakness for the last few days but it deteriorated after her return from Udaipur. She had to visit a doctor at Leelavati, who diagnosed her as suffering from viral fever. Now, Katrina Kaif will have to rest at home for at least a week as the disease is contagious and may spread to other people.

However, as the release date of the flick is November 27, Akshay Kumar and other members of the flick like Suniel Shetty, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy, Paresh Rawal etc will continue with their promotional activities for the flick.

It is as continuation of that promotional strategy that Akshay Kumar along with other cast members will enter the Bigg Boss’ house today and mingle with the inmates of the house. Akki is especially interested in Vindoo Dara Singh, who is also taking part in the reality show this time

Khiladi Akshay Kumar and others will remain in the Khandala house of Bigg Boss for almost fifteen minutes and then leave. The event will be shown to viewers by Colors channel in its Thursday episode.

Earlier, the producers of the film had planned to take the entire cast including Katrina Kaif to the house. In fact, Katrina Kaif was expected to be the main attraction of the show, but unfortunately she got stuck with her bad health.

In any case, Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif hot rain number has already created a huge buzz in the market and everybody wants to see this happen on the big screen. Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif’s sizzling hot chemistry in the song is sure to leave the viewers gasping for breath.

The grapevine has it that Akshay Kumar –Katrina Kaif rain dance is in no way inferior to perfectionist Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor’s rain dance for their upcoming flick ‘3 Idiots.’ Even though, Kareena Kapoor has a perfect figure and knows a thing or two more than Katrina in the field of dancing, Katrina’s sex appeal can not be underestimated.

Big Boss 3 winner predictions

With just a few weeks left for Big Boss 3 to reach its end, a lot of permutations and combinations are being discussed not just within the Big Boss house but also by its viewers about who will be the winner of the show.As of November 21, 2008, only eight people remain in the house, out of the original 15, including the two wildcard entrants, Vinod Kambli and Pravesh Rana.

The last member to be evicted was ex-cricketer Vinod Kambli.

The eight remaining Big Boss 3 contestants are:

Who’s going to be the Big Boss 3 winner?

Historically, Big Boss winners have been male, be it Rohit Roy who won Big Boss 1 or Ashutosh Kaushik, winner of Big Boss 2.

Will Big Boss 3 break the gender jinx? Assuming it doesn’t and Indian voters stick by male contestants, then the choice would be between Rohit Varma, Vindu Dara Singh, Raju Srivastava, Bhaktiyar Irani, and Pravesh Rana.

Of these Rohit Varma can be safely crossed out, largely because of his unpleasant personality and maybe for being gay, which would be a sad reason, but then Indian audiences are not known to be too kind to transgender individuals.

One of the patterns that has emerged in the eviction choices so far is the audience’s rejection of contestants without any personality.

Bad but vivid is better than good or harmless and wishy-washy. Case in point being Kamal Rashid Khan. TRPs fell when the controversial director was thrown out. He has now been brought back through a wild card entry, which is suspect will only last a week tops.

Another example is Vinod Kambli. He made no impression in the one week that he was there except for flitting around like a specter.

Ditto for Sheryln Chopra, Ismail Darbar, and Jaya Sawant. Sheryln Chopra is also an interesting example. Many expected her to repeat Rakhi Sawant’s performance. Didn’t happen. Why? The girl had no chutzpah. Unlike a vibrant Rakhi Sawant who made her presence felt, Sheryln was practically invisible. Oh Jejus!

Why was the bright Tanaaz evicted then? Most likely because she was nominated with her husband, Bhaktiyar Irani. If there is a choice between a male and a female, the female will go.

So keeping the pattern in mind, Bhaktiyar Irani may be evicted because he is a big bore. The man behaves as though he is acting in a B-grade Bollywood film, crying and wringing his hands.

Then there is Vindu Dara Singh. The chinless wonder can drive anyone mad with his nonsensical chatter. It will stand out even more as the number of contestants dwindle. Therefore, he is likely to be evicted as well.

What we are left with are Raju Srivastava and Pravesh Rana. Here, things get a bit sticky. Raju Srivastava has a very big fan following that he is counting on. But, on the other hand, even though he has been funny at times, he has not really enlivened things.

Pravesh Rana has a decent chance too. He is young and good looking and has street smarts. He is also entertaining to boot; so it could be touch and go between the two. Depends on how many fans Pravesh Rana can acquire.

Coming to the women participants, if, and its a big IF, audiences are not biased against them because they are women, then who would have a good chance to win?

Of the three women participants left in the house, Poonam Dhillon and Aditi Gowatrikar are guilty of a cardinal sin. They are simply too boring. The former is like a proper mother hen (so not good TV) and the latter is too grave. Doesn’t work that way.

Claudia Ciesla may have a good chance to make it the top three but I do not think she will be the winner of Big Boss 3. For if ever there is a choice between her and, say Raju Srivastava, or Pravesh Rana, she will most likely be out.

So, my final three contestants are most likely to be Raju Srivastava, Pravesh Rana, and Claudia Ciesla.

We’ll find out soon enough, I guess.

I turned to men in Big Boss house because of women: Sherlyn Chopra

Fresh out of Bigg Boss 3 Sherlyn Chopra seems to have become a wiser person. She narrates her vivid experiences from the reality show in her recent blog: When I first stepped in the house of Bigg Boss, little did I know that I would be a soft target for nomination. As a person, I’m an introvert. I like to keep to myself. I know that the real me is quite contrary to my brand image. When I was nominated for the first time, I was shocked. I thought that the house inmates must have randomly picked my name without having any valid reason for my nomination. Initially, I could not relate to the female house inmates. Mostly they would talk about their families. And I had nothing to say about my family. May be because I have been living alone since I was a teenager. When I realized that I wasn’t getting positive vibes from the ladies of the house, I turned to the men. I made friends with Kamal & Vindoo because I found them incredibly hilarious. During the first two weeks, I indulged in gossip. I would make mockery of the character traits of the inmates, whom I didn’t get along well with. When I was nominated for the second time, I had an emotional breakdown, as I felt rejected and misunderstood. I had asked Poonamji to explain to me as to why the ladies in the house were judgemental toward me. She explained to me that if I mingled with them and talked to them more often, probably they would not have felt that way. Also, Poonamji said that I would have to express my love to the house inmates to be loved by all of them. After this heart-felt conversation with Poonamji, I decided to go out of my way to love the people in the house. And so, I started treating people with kindness and gentleness. I derive great pleasure from doing domestic work. Whenever I found the house dirty, I would start cleaning and sweeping the entire house - the kitchen area, the dining area, the living area, girls’ bedroom and even boys’ bedroom. The people in the house began to see changes in my behaviour and attitude. I truly hoped they would change their pre- conceived notions about me. But that didn’t happen. I was nominated again for the third time.This time, I tried to analyze harder as to where I was going wrong. I then thought that perhaps the house inmates needed some more time to understand me. I was very confident that sooner or later the house inmates would stop nominating me. But history repeated itself. I was nominated again for the fourth time. I just could not understand what was going wrong. Later, on the day of eviction I was told by all the participants that I was made a scapegoat. They said that they chose to nominate me continuously as they had no other option. It was after I met Amitji on Aakhri Salaam that I got to know the true reasons for my nomination. Most of the house inmates called me a fake person. They strongly felt that the change in my behaviour and attitude was superficial and not genuine. I could not control my tears, when I realized what a poor opinion they had of me. Now that I’m out of the house of Big Boss, I feel, I was a misfit in the house, as I didn’t want to play games with human emotions. I didn’t want to be part of conversations that break the human spirit. The experience from day one till the end of my journey was more or less like a roller coaster ride. I got to re-discover myself. And I’m glad that I connected with my inner-self. The icing on the cake was when Amitji restored peace between my mother and me. However, I feel unless my mother, my sister, and I analyze the root cause of the animosity and the differences between us, the patch up will be very superficial.

Will Shamita be able to attend Shilpa's wedding?

There’s a chance that Shamita may not be able to attend her sister’s wedding. According to highly- placed sources at Colors there seems to be no provision to get a contestant out of a game show for a wedding. Hard as it may be to believe, Shilpa Shetty’s kid-sister now locked away in Bigg Boss, is oblivious of the momentous developments in her star-sister’s life. Says a highly-placed Colors source, “Shamita has not been told anything about Shilpa’s engagement or the marriage in the last week of November. As far Shamita knows the marriage was supposed to happen in December after the show was over.” Now that Shilpa has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding—and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend—the channel bosses are at a loss as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the Bigg Boss house. Says the source, “There’s a provision for a house-mate to be brought out in a case of an extreme emergency. It happened with Jade Goody last year.But does a sister’s unscheduled wedding qualify as a family crisis? We’re now wondering if the same rule as Jade can be applied to Shamita’s case.” The international Big Brother rules are being consulted. If there’s no provision for a contestant to leave the game for a family wedding, them Shamita Shetty may not get the permission to leave Bigg Boss house for the wedding! This however seems improbable, considering Shilpa’s old relations with the reality show. (She was contestant on Bigg Brother and hosted Bigg Boss 2). Says the source from Colors, “After meeting Shilpa this weekend we’ll work out a strategy on Shamita’s eviction.” According to plans if rules apply, Shamita’s eviction will be done live. “If an unexpected turn of events helps us boost our TRPs we’re certainly not shy of putting it on camera. We did with Jade Goody. We’ll do it with Shamita.” The pop philosopher of the show Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do the needful. He will be breaking the news of Shilpa’s engagement and impending marriage to Shamita. “The rest is up to Shamita. Once we’re sure she can be evicted whether she decides to come out or stay in the House is entirely her decision, ” ends the channel source.

Guess who was offered Big Boss 3?

Anil Kapoor, after the high flying success of Slumdog Millionaire is international with his appearance on the American teleseries- 24. But thats not all he was offered to host Big Boss 3 which he turned down. Pray why? He didnt bother to check the email on which he was offered the film. Hes been too busy shooting all over the place to be seen on Indian television. Legend has it that he almost did not take up the Slumdog Millionaire assignment till his son threatened to run away from home. Coming to think of it, wasn’t he reprising the role of Big B in the film? Yes he was, and now, Big B has taken up the offer to host Big Boss 3 after Anil showed the producers the door.
The contestants who are rumoured to appear on the show are a who’s who of has-beens like Chunky Pandey, Aditya Pancholi, Baba Ramdev (who has denied it) and Shakti Kapoor.Big B is no stranger to them, as much as Anil who has worked with them in the past, yet today the superstar has more time on his hands to take on work of his junior when at a time there used to be a reverse case. In the past, when Anil Kapoor took up Meri Jung, which was offered to Big B, it was seen as a project that would finally seal Anil’s fate who wanted to bethe next superstar.
How things have come around.Big B, on the other hand is elated with the new project he has on hand. At a press conference in Singapore he said, ‘It is going to be Big Boss for Colors.’ It was officially announced to the media at the Marriott Hotel in Singapore. He has already started shooting for the show which begins in October and ends by December 2009.
