Himesh performs live in Concert

The multi talented man is a rockstar and after Sunday night, he has left no doubts! Himesh Reshammiya performed live in concert for the KARZZZZ Curtain Raiser at Andheri Sports Complex. The event that was hosted by Bhushan Kumar of T–Series and Star Plus.

Himesh performed live, along with some of the hottest Bollywood beauties like Ameesha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Amrita Arora, Riya Sen and singers like Tulsi Kumar, Vineet and Akruti Kakkar. The compeers of the evening were the ever witty Cyrus Broacha and Mona Singh who complimented each other with their funny liners. Some of the guests who had come to watch the concert were Gulshan Grover, Arpita Khan, Sameer, Shweta Kumar and more.

The packed stadium came up alive with Himesh's grand entry, who performed last and sang couple of his previous songs unplugged. The surprise element was however a colourfully decorated rickshaw that made an entry on the stage. Having called over kids onto the stage, Himesh was having one ball of a time crooning to songs from his upcoming movie along with the kids that made up as his chorus group!

Although Urmila Matondkar and Satish Kaushik were missing, the rest of the cast and crew of the movie came to cheer their hero.

With top Bollywood actresses sizzling on the stage and a rockstar like Himesh, this show nothing lesser than a blockbuster hit. The concert will be telecast on one of the popular channel.

Introducing the DRONA family Part II

Here is our second and concluding part of an exclusive inside view of the characters from the world of DRONA. Once again its straight from the horses mouth, Jaydeep Sarkar, the script and dialogue writer of DRONA.
Sonia (Priyanka Chopra):–

Sonia is the one character that went through the most changes, as we were writing. Sonia's character plays out at various levels and layers in the film. At one level, she is following in the legacy of her forefathers who have laid down their lives in the service of the DRONA and at many other levels, she is DRONA's only companion in this magnificent journey, she is the one person who introduces him to aspects of himself he never knew he had. It was a complex character, of a woman in supreme control yet living her life in the service of the DRONA.

Priyanka helped us find Sonia, even as we were writing. Sometimes, when you are writing a character for a particular actor, the actor's persona itself can be inspiration enough. And for me, Priyanka, was the inspiration for Sonia. Sonia, is a fantastical interpretation of the modern Indian woman. A woman in charge, a woman in control. A woman who is headstrong, vivacious, charged up and won't stop at anything.

Everyday, before we shot a scene, Priyanka, Goldie and I would read out the scene and much like her character in the film, Priyanka would explore areas in the scene and her character that were beyond the obvious. Her questions would only make us address nuances of the scene and make the scene even better. And it was not just about her character, but the entire dynamics of the scene. Sometimes, we would reinvent a scene; polish it, even a few moments before we were meant to shoot it. There was always an infectious energy on the sets. Priyanka brought with her, a rush of adrenalin, which put us all in top gear.

And that, in itself, is Sonia! She is a bundle of energy, who will grab you by your arm and take you along on this fantastic journey.

Shreyas to CLICK by the year end

Wise men say that 'talent run's in a man's blood and can't be taught', which is very true, especially in the case of our Marathi Manoos – Shreyas Talpade.

WELCOME TO SAJJANPUR has done great business at the box office, and trade is quite upbeat that it will be soon going to be followed by GOLMAAL RETURNS, but the biggest surprise that Shreya's audience will get is going to be towards the end of this year with the release of CLICK, a Sangeeth Sivan directorial venture, which is out 'n' out horror film.

On asking Sangeeth, how was it working with Shreyas, he said, ''Shreyas has done a brilliant job in the film and this is going to be the biggest surprise for the audiences. We have given him a new image and not something he has done before in any of his movies. He is more modern and hip in the film and it is a very unconventional role. Shreyas has definitely risen as an actor. He is par excellence.''

Hoping to see Shreyas light the screen soon and wish that the movie 'clicks' with the audiences' world over.

GHAJINI with GOLMAAL RETURNS!

Amidst much speculations, talks were rife of the possibility of Sanjay Gadhvi's Sanjay Dutt–Imran Khan starrer, KIDNAP, carrying in its prints the trailer of Aamir Khan's GHAJINI. But that was never the case, even though both the above mentioned movies are Studio 18/Indian Films releases.

In fact KIDNAP carries with it the trailers of Rohit Shetty's Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and Arshad Warsi starrer, GOLMAAL RETURNS and a few other promos as well. So where does that leave Murugadoss's much awaited Aamir Khan, Asin, Jiah Khan and Mohit Ahlawat action extravaganza, GHAJINI?

Well, the first theatrical promo of the Christmas release, GHAJINI, is expected to be unleashed on the big screen on Diwali, included in the prints of GOLMAAL RETURNS, which will release worldwide on 29th October.
