She isn't moping or wallowing in self pity post her break up with Adhyayan Suman, her boyfriend of one year. Instead, Kangna Ranaut, whose career is her focus, has launched her official website. We tells you what the brilliant actress and style icon’s official portal is all about.

There is a welcome page, a biography, filmography, new, trivia, picture gallery including events and wallpapers, magazine covers and downloads. There is also a style mantra section, a fan club and a guest book section.

In her first ever blog entry, Kangna has written about her love for fashion and style, her joy at Fashion and Raaz TMC doing so well at the box office, the way people have appreciated her as an actress and her upcoming films. She will start shooting for Aneez Bazmee’s No Problem this month, her first comedy ever. Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Time in Mumbai is a period film.

What StarBoxOffice found most interesting, however, was Kangna’s wall of photos from her childhood and before she made it big. It is a sneak peek into her world. There are photos of her family and friends.

There is no mention of Adhyayan Suman at all on her website. The news of their break up was reported in a daily this morning. Adhyayan, who initiated the split though he was until recently, declaring his love for his lady from the rooftops. In fact, his affair with Kangna got him noticed when he started out. The two have split up because they want to focus on their burgeoning careers and have no time from their shooting schedules. We think Kangna is a strong and pretty girl, a brilliant actress and deserves better than Adhyayan Suman. We wish her the best to move on and find a strong and loving guy.

Shahid mum on Kareena

Here is the latest on Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.

The two actors don’t talk to each other. However Shahid is a gentleman. He will not kiss-and-tell. So he never utters anything against his ex-lady love. As for Kareena, she too is not interested in commenting on her ex or any of his current flames.

So that chapter ends there. Incidentally, Shahid will be performing at a function overseas next week, and his PR person tells us that the awesome dancer will do Dhan Taanaa from Kaminey solo. He doesn’t have Kaminey co-star Priyanka Chopra for company. Whether PC will be in the audience to cheer him or with him in the green room, boosting his morale is a suspense that will later be revealed. Kareena was also asked to be present at the same show, but our lady says she will be in London shooting for a hair commercial. Will Saif Ali Khan be with her? Most probably he will...

Shilpa’s busy 'doing nothing'

In an honest but startling disclosure on the eve of her birthday, Shilpa Shetty has admitted that Bollywood is not happening for her - notwithstanding her gorgeous face and ravishing figure which continue to set men’s pulses racing around the world.

She’s all but disappeared from the big screen. Last year, the beauty’s only appearance was in a song with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Dostana, and this year doesn’t seem to be any different.

“I have ventured into a lot of things like cricket, yoga DVDs, spas, but films will be my first love. However, the fact remains that I haven’t been offered any interesting roles. The kind of work that I would like to do now or fit into is hard to come by. And the choices that are in front of me aren’t tempting enough,” admits Shilpa matter-of-factly.
Added to her woes is the arrival of a new crop of actresses who ensure that the senior lot find fewer roles coming their way. “I have done everything from comedy and action to serious films, but for how long can one keep doing the same thing? There’s something called screen-age! As a producer I understand why others choose the new crop,” she admits.

But it’s always been that for the Bollywood hottie and candidly she continues, “I could take up Big Brother, which proved to be a turning point in my life, only because I wasn’t busy with any other project. That’s the reason I never question anything. But look, I have yet carved a niche for myself without films.”

So, at the moment, Shilpa’s busy “doing nothing” in London. She’s waiting for the recession to end before she dons the producer’s hat in Bollywood. “I needed a break after the IPL,” she says, denying that she’s licking her wounds after her team’s dismal loss in the Twenty20 tournament. “Everyone wants to win, anyone who says they don’t — is lying,” says the actress. “Next season, I’ll pray harder.”

Nayantara's reduction theory

The news is doing rounds that gorgeous Nayantara has reduced his fee from whopping 1 crore to Rs 65 lacs only for her ongoing Telugu film Anjanevulu, directed by Parasuram and with Ravi Teja playing the hero. There is a buzz that the actress is facing a tough competition with her younger counterparts in Tamannah and Anushka. Even her recent flop films isn’t also helping her career. But according to the closed ones to Nayantara, the diva has reduced her fee only to help the producers in this period of recession. Well, it would be difficult for us to figure out Nayantara’s reduction theory but this theory surely must have bought a relief to the producers.

Kites and Let’s Dance heralds a new season of dance

It seems we are entering a dance season. While Hrithik Roshan gets into his dancing shoes for ‘Kites’, on the other hand, there is newbie Gayatri Patel, a US-born-and-bred girl who makes her debut in ‘Let’s Dance’ playing a dance teacher. Releasing on June 19, ‘Let’s Dance’ is directed by popular film editor Aarif Sheikh. Aarif, who makes his directorial debut with this one, has been a National Award-winner for ‘Samay – When Time Strikes’. He has also been the man behind the edits of acclaimed movies like ‘Makdee’, ‘Maqbool’, ‘Taxi No. 9211’, ‘Parzania’ and ‘The Blue Umbrella’. Terming Gayatri a ‘dancing tornado’, Aarif is all praise for the girl. “She’s sparkling, ” he says and stresses that when it comes to dance, she can beat all the current Bollywood heroines hands down. Having music by Vipin Mishra and another National Award winner Tarali Sharma, the movie’s songs have been choreographed by none other than Longinus Fernandes (of “Jai Ho”-‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and “Pappu Can’t Dance Saala”-‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ fame), Rajiv Goswami (of ‘Veer-Zaara’ and ‘Dhoom’ fame), Pappu-Malu (of ‘Saawariya’ fame) and the evergreen Saroj Khan. “I've done jazz, hip-hop, filmy, Kathak and Natwari dancing in the film and I’m pretty excited about it all, ” informs Gayatri. “I’m discussing other movies now and I’m here to stay, ” she quips with a smile. Get ready for a rush of new releases

Now that the ongoing strike between the producers and multiplex owners is finally over, fans of Bollywood films should now get prepared for a rush of new releases that were put on hold because of the strike. The onslaught begins with Vashu Bhagnani’s Kal Kissne Dekha to be the first film to release post end of strike. This Vivek Sharma directed film will release on coming Friday, 12th June, 2009. It will be the first Bollywood film to release worldwide after the two month strike between Producers-Distributors and Exhibitors. Announcing the release date, Sunir Kheterpal, Chief Operating Officer, BIG Pictures says, “We are glad to announce that BIG Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani’s much awaited film ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ will release worldwide on 12th June. The audience will now have the option to watch ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ is any cinema of their choice and we hope to attract significant number of audience as this is the first release after over two months.” June 26th shall see the release of Yash Raj Films’ Kabir Khan directed New York starring John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh. On July 10th the much awaited Akshay Kumar – Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq will release. There are chances of Mahesh Bhatt’s Adhyayan Suman - Shahana Goswami starrer Jashn to release on the same day as well. On July 24th Ram Gopal Varma’s thriller Agyaat will see the light of the day followed by Saif Ali Khan’s maiden production Love Aaj Kal on July 31st. The big release this Independence Day weekend will be Amitabh Bachchan – Ritesh Deshmukh – Sanjay Dutt starrer Aladin directed by Sujoy Ghosh of Jhankar Beats fame. It will release on August 14th. There are chances of Sohail Khan’s Kisaan and Salman Khan starrer Wanted to be squeezed in anywhere between the above mentioned dates.

Shaurya Chauhaan caused Mercury to rise dangerously in Delhi

Hot and sexy actress model Shaurya Chauhaan has fallen head over heels in love with Delhi City. She was recently in Delhi for her fashion shoot for Mod Art International, Paris and had to visit so many unusual places, the pulses of real Delhi, for her shoot. Comments she, “I have been to Delhi so many times before and thought that I knew the city. Infact, my brother lives in Delhi but this time I realised that I was seeing the real Delhi for the first time. From Janpath to Kutubminar to Chandichok to Khan Market.... Sarojini Nagar to Metro. God, its bizarre.. People with so many colours, Tourists and all this in just two days of my shooting for mod art international Paris. Since I was shooting a documentary film for them, which required me to walk on streets, pose in teeny-weeny clothes oh God it was hilarious, ” and goes on to add, “I remember we were shooting at paranthewali gali....and we turn and see everywhere people gathered around us and me in this short dress... But we went on with the shoot inspite of all ogling at me and then I went on to eat paranthas there with my whole crew, ” she giggle. Shaurya Chauhaan’s first film was Mumbai Salsaa, while her second Horn Ok Pleassss… is waiting in the wings. She has signed 3 film contract with Zoom, has done an item song with Arjun Rampal & Mika and has two international ads in her pocket. Comments she, “I loved doing the ad of L’Oreal. It was a déjà vu for my experience during the ad shoot of kingfisher calendar.” Shaurya’s other films on the floor are Hotel Park Street with Amir Bashir and Rotary opposite Sudhanshu Pandey & Rohit Roy with director Sarthak Das Gupta. Shaurya, who is a gymnast, is trained in aerobics and Classical dance too. She has passion for adventure sports and had learned theatre under Nadira Babbar and was involved with the theatre group - Ek Jut, where she did a play titled ‘Raja Bahadur’. She has featured in a music video called “Sarhadein” directed by Marliyn and has played the lead role in a Malayalam film, titled “Wattam”, directed by Priyadarsan.

Copy Kat: Now Kareena to sport Barbie look

Kareena Kapoor's look in "Kambakkht Ishq" is being touted as her most glamorous ever, but her make-up artist Mallika Bhat says that apart from looking ultra glam, she will also sport a "Barbie doll-look" in the action thriller. "One of Kareena's looks in the film is inspired by Barbie doll, " Bhat told over telephone from Mumbai. "One day, while on the shoot, she came out of her vanity van and was ready for her shot. She was wearing a baby pink tube top with a white skirt and I gave her a creamy baby pink lipstain (colour) for her lips. Her hair was straight - and as soon as I saw her, I told her how much she looked like Barbie doll, " she said. In "Kambakkht Ishq", which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kareena stars alongside superstar Akshay Kumar who plays a Hollywood stuntman. It also stars Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards. According to Bhat, Kareena's different looks in the film have a lot to do with the progression of her character. "At first she has a plain Jane look, followed by a cute girl-next-door look and then she ultimately turns into an ultra-glam diva as she plays a model in the film, " she said. Bhat said that Kareena has been made to wear minimum make-up and tied ponytails for the first part of her character, while she leaves her hair open and sports little gloss for her second look. But later Kareena's eyes are well accentuated with different colours, she added. "For her glamorous look, I used metallic liners in colours like charcoal, blue, green, grey and played around with a lot of shimmer on her eyes. But what remained permanent for Kareena throughout the film was the creamy baby pink lip colour that I have not used on anyone yet, " Bhat said. Bhat, who was responsible for Deepika Padukone's Chinese looks in "Chandni Chowk To China", says Kareena too loves slipping into the glamorous look. "She is a girl. Like every other girl, she enjoys getting ready and so I guess she enjoyed slipping into the glamorous character. She liked to get ready for it like any other girl her age would have, " she said. Coupled with Bhat's make-up techniques, Mumbai-based hairstylist Pompy Hans worked on Kareena's hair for the film. "She has such a glamorous role in the film. I tied her hair into neat ponytails for her first look, gave her simple and straight hair for her second and then experimented with a layered haircut, a nice bouncy blow dry on her hair and even coloured her hair copper, mostly dark blonde tints for her model-like look, " Pompy told. Kareena sports fashion designer Aki Narula's outfits in the movie.
