Celina Jaitley upset with her co-star’s publicity stunts

Celina Jaitley has always been known as a bold, outspoken and daring Bollywood actress who does not hesitate to stand up against anything wrong. So, when her co-star Abhimanyu Singh decided to bag in some publicity at her cost, it was quite expected that the actress flew into a rage and decided to retort back.

Abhimanyu is a newcomer who is acting opposite Celina in a thriller directed by Jagmohan Mundhra and has been giving his excuses and take on his alleged linkup with the actress. He went ahead to give an interview about how upset he was to read about his link-up with Celina.

Celina, on the other hand, feels that the question and topic of this linkup is nothing but the brainchild of Abhimanyu himself who is doing this to get some cheap publicity. An angry Celina said, “”What link-up is he talking about? Who linked him with me except himself? This is the first time I’ve heard about this so-called link-up.”

She adds, “This is a perennial problem. You are nice to a co-star and he decides to repay your kindness by planting cheap stories. Recently, it happened to me when a co-star, who’s a dear friend, whom I don’t want to name, gave out a story about how he ‘manhandled’ me on the sets. I didn’t react because all said and done, he’s a dear friend and a name in his own right. But Abhimanyu is a talented actor and I was just being nice to him as a co-star.”

Celina can barely control her anger and expresses her disappointment saying, “Next time I’ll think twice before being nice to a co-star. But it’s sad to see actors, established or not-so-established using their co-star’s name for publicity. They take advantage of my single status and friendly nature. But do they realize how such sleazy whispers could jeopardize my prospects of finding love?”

She also sent an SMS to Abhimanyu Singh which read, “Abhimanyu, u better stop talking about this so called link up. In the first place there’s no link up, so stop going to the media and crying about things which don’t exist.”

Celina takes a firm stand

The recent racist attacks on Indian students in Australia have evoked strong reactions not only from the student fraternity, but also from Bollywood.

But while most have expressed their anger vocally, Celina Jaitley has taken it a step further by refusing to do a show there. Says a source, “Celina is appalled at the racist attacks in Australia and has turned down a show which was to happen in Melbourne.” When we contacted Celina — who’s known to be actively involved in fighting for gay rights — she confirmed the report saying, “It is pathetic to see the Australian government sit back and just give diplomatic comments. They ought to know that actions speak louder than words.” Well, unlike the hate mail the sexy actress got for rallying for gay rights, let’s hope that Celina gets a lot of support mail for this one.

What John, Celina, Shilpa have in common

John Abraham, Celina Jaitley, Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora Khan have something in common apart from their celebrity status. They have come forward to endorse a message for animal welfare in the country.

Whether it is turning vegetarian, binding themselves in chains, getting inside cages or going out of their way to provide shelter to animals - the actors have done their bit to promote awareness about cruelty against animals.

"When it comes to raising awareness for animals, the celebrities are available at a click for the cause. They do it for free and give us time from their tight schedule knowing what they are standing for, " Anuradha Sawhney, chief functionary of PETA India, told over phone from Pune.

Sawhney said PETA India did not, in fact, try to rope in celebrities just for the sake of it, but noted that when a known face says something to people, the impact is greater.

Launched in 2000, PETA India is the Indian chapter of the US-based animal rights organisation People for Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The celebrity involvement in campaigns for animals started in 2001 when actresses Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit wrote letters to people in South Africa and Assam appealing for the endangered black rhino and elephants respectively.

Since then, celebrities like Rahul Dev, Ameesha Patel, Eesha Koppikhar, Yana Gupta, Raveena Tandon, Gulshan Grover, Shamita Singha, Jiah Khan, Rahul Khanna and controversy queens Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra have shed their inhibitions to wear outrageous outfits, sometimes, just leaves or red chillies to spread the message that animals must not be killed for commerce.

Celina Jaitley, who appeared in a torn and tattered grey vest and was tied with chains for a PETA ad to save elephants from captivity, said: "I have been an animal lover all my life...they are the most loyal and unconditional givers of love...they complete us and bring joy to us with their crazy antics. But we humans don't understand their value and treat them with cruelty for our own purpose, which is wrong."

Shilpa Shetty, who reflected her concern for the misery of circus animals through a print commercial, told via text from South Africa: "Just the thought of getting into the cage for the PETA ad made me so uncomfortable...just imagine what animals who spend their entire life in cages go through."

Another actor who has worked relentlessly for the cause is John Abraham. He provided a helping hand in creating India's first elephant village in Maharashtra, for which he was even awarded an EcoWarrior award in 2008.

"Real men are kind to animals. If we don't treat our animals and the habitat with kindness today, it'll be not long that we lose both, " John said.

The celebrity involvement did not go in vain.

"We had a tremendous response when John got into a cage to show the dilemma of caged birds. We even had a fabulous response for Shilpa and Rakhi's ads where they got themselves caged to show the plight of circus animals, " said Sawhney.

"Children from schools wrote to us pledging not to visit any circuses that had any animals. The response has been fabulous and it increases each time a celebrity does a campaign. Even when the Big B was voted the hottest vegetarian three times in a row (2002-2004), the response was huge and his fans even asked us to help them turn veggies, " she added.

While actors like Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutta are "very anti-fur and anti-leather", said Sawhney, other indirect efforts by celebrities to stop atrocities against animals have been by promoting vegetarianism.

These efforts have involved Aditi Govitrikar, Mahima Choudhary, Rajniesh Duggall and Devang Patel among others.

Actor R. Madhavan and Kareena Kapoor were also voted the "cutest vegetarians" of 2007 with Kareena even bagging the crown for 2008's "sexiest vegetarian".

Celina Jaitley denied entry in dad's pub

Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley was denied entry in a Bangkok pub and restaurant owned by her dad, courtesy the short school uniform which she was wearing.

The guards not only failed to recognise her but also suspected her to be underage and stopped her from going inside.

Celina was shooting for "Paying Guest" in Bangkok and one of the sequences required her along with the other leading ladies Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen and Sayali Bhagat to be dressed in a school uniform.

Why did she choose to hop over to the pub dressed like that?

"First and foremost I had no clue that guards would stop me at the gate. Also, I was in the middle of a sequence and didn't feel like getting in and out of costumes. I was anyways enjoying myself in a school dress and though it may have scandalised quite a few out there, I didn't mind that at all," Celina told IANS.

"In the first place, it was anyway quite funny to be dressed in a tight white shirt, red and black short skirt, hair band, white socks and black shoes. And then this incident happened where I was denied entry in my own pub. It was as funny as it could have got," she added.

Celina tried to catch the attention of her dad through the glass pane. She waved at him and shouted along till the time he managed to realise her presence at the pub.

"Imagine his shock at seeing his girl dressed up like this. He was in a meeting with his business associates and they all had a collective expression of disbelief on their faces. My dad just came out, spoke to me for a while, lent me some money for shopping and went back in. He was so sure that he didn't want a girl who may not have been underage but definitely looked like one get into his pub. For him, rules are rules," she said.

After this, Celina walked into the nearest luxury mall for shopping.

"I made sure that I blew away all the money that I had laid my hands on. I wasn't allowed to get into the pub and I vowed to make up for that lost opportunity," she said.

Directed by first timer Paritosh Painter and produced by Subhash Ghai, "Paying Guest" also stars Shreyas Talpade, Ashish Chaudhary, Javed Jaffrey and Vatsal Sheth and Celina says: "It was back to being in school and eight of us were having a rollicking time."

The film is ready and the release date would be announced after the stand off between producers and multiplexes is resolved.

Celina Jaitley faces hate mails for support of gay community

Just recently, Celina Jaitley had expressed her support for the gay community at the re-launch of the magazine for the gay community ‘Bombay Dost’. She had also participated in the Gay Parade in Mumbai and called for the abolition of the laws that treat homosexuality as a crime.

But seems, Celina’s support for homosexuality did not go down well with the people, for the lady has been flooded with various hate mails and messages after the launch party. Some even questioned Celina’s sexuality and wrote that she too is a homosexual.

But strong as she is, Celina is unperturbed by all this. Celina vehemently conferred that this is a human right deserved by every person. During the launch itself she had stated: “It saddens me that people have so much hatred towards sexual minorities and people who show them support. It’s also unfortunate that people have not stopped their hatred against the gay community but have only learnt to mask it.”

"No one from the Industry turned up for Feroz Khan's funeral" - Celina Jaitly

On Monday evening Celina Jaitly was very upset, and not just because her mentor and guide and friend Feroz Khan had passed away.

At the funeral in Bangalore, Celina was horrified to see the poor turn-out from the film industry. "There was just me, Sajid Khan, Sanjay Gupta and Kishen Kumar. No one else came from Mumbai except the entire family of Feroz Khan .Among the top stars there was only Hrithik...But he's family to the Khans."

Celina can't hold back her tears. "I was shooting in Delhi when I heard of Feroz's death. I couldn't get a direct flight, so I flew into Bangalore from Mumbai. I had to. I couldn't hold myself back. Feroz Khan was not just the man who gave me my first break. He was my dear friend. I am close to both his children Fardeen and Laila. As for Feroz, what can I say? I could discuss anything from Oscar Wilde to the latest Bollywood film with him. He inspired, amused and amazed me with his knowledge and enthusiasm."

The last time Celina met Feroz was three weeks ago. "I met him at the Breach Candy hospital. He got into his Versace track suit to meet me. That was the man, stylish even when he was in acute pain. He had needles sticking out of his body but he was wearing Versace. He said to me, 'Celina Baby (that's what he called me) Look at what these f***ers have done to me."

She bursts into tears. "I'll miss him so much. I've lost a dear friend, a father-figure. Years ago he had made Zeenat Aman a bikini girl in Qurbani. He made me the same in Janasheen. I'm very proud to be a Feroz Khan heroine."

'Harrassed' by Jawans, Celina finally finds some justice!

A fortnight back, Celina Jaitley had a harrowing experience with the airport authorities in New Delhi during a security check for her flight to Mumbai.

While her iPod and Blackberry were damaged, the worst was yet to come as the cops who were apparently responsible for it were found smiling even as Celina was complaining against them. Hurt and disappointed, she spoke her mind out in full public view.

Her words did find listeners as CISF came into action and began an enquiry into the matter. This resulted in the highest placed authorities at CISF waking up to this fact and assuring Celina that all would be done to prevent such an incident from happening again.

Says a source close to Celina, "Mr. Bannerji, who is the Director General CISF, Delhi, has taken special action that this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

In fact action has also been taken against the jawans present on the day of the incident. Even Mumbai has acted quickly on this matter with Mr. Sanjay Prakash, CISF Chief, Mumbai taking special measures.

When the biggest of the matters are swept under the carpet, it seems quite commendable that a quick action has been taken in such a small time period.

"This is what thrills me most. I really truly appreciate the measure taken and I thank Mr. Bannerji and Mr. Sanjay Prakash. They have apprised me about their plans going forward.

After interacting with them, I am sure that our security is under the leadership of ace officers. Kudos to them", says a visibly thrilled Celina who is happy that her point of view has been appreciated.

Apparently, there are also some radical changes that are being made in the training curriculum for CISF jawaans. Going forward there would be added emphasis on dealing with women, especially senior citizens.

"I have been told about this as well", says Celina hours before packing her bags for the shooting schedule of her next film, "I am glad that the people at the top have been responsive to the issue and at least tried to understand my grievance.

Of course, as I stated earlier as well, they are there for our own security so passengers too should do their bit and cooperate completely with them."

She is gladdened with all the media support that came her way in her fight against the issue, which resulted in quick turnaround time for issue resolution.

"As a citizen journalist I raised my voice and from there on media ensured that it reaches out to all the concerned stakeholders. I sincerely thank media for standing by me", concludes Celina.

I am waiting for Homosexuality to be accepted legally

As we all know Celina Jaitley has started blogging where she shares her thoughts on elections, the terror attack, security, the common man and myriad other issues which she feels she can contribute to.

Celina is the only Bollywood actor who is a Gay Right Activist and openly supports their stand.

Having worked on development projects related to HIV and AIDS, the actress is all set to unleash her ideas and share her thoughts with like-minded people.

"I believe actions speak louder than words.

As of today me and a couple of others have decided to start an initiation of 'Voting for none provision' I am waiting for a party to see what really and genuinely it has to offer to me, I am waiting for a feeling of security within my own city.

I am waiting to get a ration card and passport on time without red tapism, I am waiting for Homosexuality to be accepted legally, I am waiting for compensation to all who laid their lives, I am waiting for protection within 15 minutes of a terrorist attack, I am waiting to see my country at its full potential" Says the actress.

When we asked Celina about her recent venture she said, "I am very happy about the kind of response my blog has received.

I have received an offer to write a column in a newspaper too. But all that kept that aside, I thank everyone for the feedback and response. I am happy about the fact that it motivated many.

But will people's response to this tragedy continue or will it fizzle out with time is my question and the next topic that I would write on. We have to hold together if we want a change in the system because I don't want this fire to fizzle out."

Way to go Celina.

Celina floors rugby superstar Monty Beetham

Violently ill and shivering with the cold at the premiere of her first international film Love Has No Language in Auckland on Nov 5, Celina Jaitley rubbed shoulders with the crème de la crème of New Zealand. And that too in the pouring rain.

"It was the grandest premiere I ever attended, " gushes Celina.Days after the premiere she's in a daze.

"800 Asians turned up to meet me besides the 325 formal invitees. We had the crème de la crème of New Zealand attending, including television film and sports personalities."

Prominent in the sports section of attendees was New Zeland's rugby star Monty Beetham who was quite taken up with Celina. Apparently his eyes trailed our Celina across the premiere venue.

Laughs Celina, "I'm no stranger to male attention. Though I met Beetham only briefly I believe he was quite taken up by what he called the Indian beauty. I was just floored by all the attention I got."

Hours before the premiere Celina wasn't sure she would be able to attend."I was down with this acute tummy infection. I was doubling up with cramps and pain. I really thought I wouldn't be able to attend. But at the last minute I squeezed into my Manish Malhotra gown and dragged myself to the red carpet. The effort was worth it."

The movie got a standing ovation. "Not only that people stood in the pouring rain for autographs and pictures. I tried to oblige everyone. The New Zealanders are extremely warm. As I shook hands them the freezing cold melted away. Never mind my gown shrank into a mini-skirt."

Celina cuts down all chances of a romance with her co-star. She describes her Love Has No Language co-star Ben Mitchell as scary and horrifying. "He scared the hell out of me with bugs and butterflies all the time.

Believe it or not I'm terrified of butterflies. And although the film is called Love Has No Language I couldn't understand anything he said because of his Kiwi accent.Maybe because I wasn't really in love with him."

I never questioned my absence from the poster

With the runaway success of Golmaal Returns the world over, several actors from the film have expressed their disappointment at being left out of the film's publicity or being shortchanged in terms of their role. We suppose everyone wants to be on the bandwagon of a super-hit film!

When quizzed, Celina Jaitly (who is in Auckland for the premiere of her maiden English feature, Love Has No Language) remarked, "I never questioned the film's poster designs or why I was absent in some of them.

It is the prerogative of the producer and distributor on how the film should be promoted. I demonstrated my support to the product by being there for all the interviews and appearances.

In fact, Tusshar, Shreyas and I were like these three musketeers who went all around town selling the film, and happily so. I'm pleased with the results, and as an actor, I'm gratified that Rohit (Shetty) has done justice to my role and character."

When asked about why some of the other actors were disappointed, she quipped, "The film has worked in a big way and has been drawing appreciation from all quarters.

The director (Rohit Shetty), producer (Shree Ashta Vinayak Cinevision) and distributor (Indian Films - Studio 18) have obviously done their jobs right!"

Celina`s most unforgettable Diwali

Celina Jaitley will never ever forget her last Diwali experience. Last year's Diwali was the craziest for Celina Jaitley.

Recounting the experience she says, "Last year during Diwali with all the crackers my two doggys fainted with all the loud sounds. They were only one year old. And our whole evening went trying to wake them up!"

This year Celina says she hopes there won't be a repeat performance as she is heading to South Africa during Diwali. "I will be in South Africa - the Indian Community there has invited me to celebrate Diwali with them.

I will be their guest of honour. I have a big fan base in Johannesburg. People from various backgrounds will be coming together. So I will be in SA promoting my film Golmaal Returns as well, " Celina tells us.

Celina Jaitley who hails from a army background says that ever since she has come to Mumbai she has been missing the Diwali celebrations in the army environment. Reminiscing the Diwali celebrations in the army cantonment the actress says.

"We used to have the Lakshmi Puja and later there would be firing in the air to welcome the New Year. The festivities were a part of my life. The celebrations would start from Dusshera. We used to do puja of all the firearms and everyone used to be dressed for the occasions and have fun. We were young and we used to look forward to it.

And on this festive occasion of Diwali, Celina says that she truly appreciates the spirit of Mumbai which she doesn't find in any other city. "I have been to almost every city in India but it's only the public in Mumbai that help you out when in need.

My brother who is an Army officer was recently in a serious accident and was lying on the road. He was in his uniform and bleeding badly but not a single person come ahead for help. I have only seen in Mumbai that people help each other. But in rest of the India they don't do that."

"I sometimes think that every one has become too busy and selfish… they have stopped thinking about anyone else… they don't think that the person in trouble is also someone's son, brother or husband. But anyways by God's grace my brother fine now, " she says

I am missing love in my life: Celina

Celina Jaitely is fed up of being linked with her co-stars.

It all started with her alleged link up with Emraan Hashmi while they were working together in Jawani Diwani and was followed up with Govinda as they were doing Money Hain To Honey Hain together. Now there are rumours floating around in media circles about her latest lover boy being her Golmaal Returns co-star, Tusshar Kapoor.

A hassled Celina denying her alleged affairs as mere rumours tells us, "It is so strange that someone who has been alleged to have affairs is looking for love desperately."

"I am just good friends with Tusshar and we got along famously during the Goa and Bangkok schedules of Golmaal Returns is all I can say. We worked together and there is nothing more to it. I simply do not understand this link-up rumour business!" says Celina.

"I am missing love in my life. I have been single for three and half years. Besides love, I have everything going great in my life. I have a busy year ahead. Tusshar has been very supportive and I really appreciate that." Celina adds.

Sounding pretty excited about her upcoming release, Golmaal Returns she says, and "I think I have formed a relationship with comedies instead".

(Laughs) My co-star in the film is Shreyas Talpade and it is my third film with him. I enjoy working with him. I must admit that I grow every time I do a scene with him. His comic timing is so good.

We used to improvise our scenes together a lot. It will all reflect on screen when you see it on big screen." Celina concludes.

Hot Celina becomes Bond's girl

Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley couldn't have asked for more. First she landed a role in Hollywood film "Quest of Sheherzade" and now she will team up with Oscar winner Sean Connery in the international project based on "Arabian Nights".

"Quest of Sheherzade" is scheduled to go on floors in January and also stars Orlando Bloom of "Pirates Of The Caribbean" fame. It will be directed by Ken Khan, the technical director of fantasy adventure film "Lord of the Rings".

"Sean Connery is there in the film and recently Orlando Bloom was also signed. I am playing an important character of an Iranian princess, " Celina told.

"The story is based on Arabian Nights and they are planning to start the shooting from January next year. I am in a contract and can't talk much about the movie, " she said.

"Quest of Sheherzade" is not her first international project. Celina plays the lead in New Zealand-Australian venture "Love Has No Language" by the same director.

In "Love Has No Language", the former Miss India is cast as an Indian girl born and brought up in New Zealand. She is cast opposite Australian actor Ben Mitchell.

"It was very difficult to speak in Kiwi English as they speak in a completely difficult and weird accent. Neither do they speak like Australians nor like the British, " Celina said.

"It took me 10 days to sit constantly with my trainer to learn the correct accent. She sat with me day and night and spoke to me in her accent which made it possible for me to get it right, " Celina added.

Celina said though she is working in Hollywood films, her first love will always be the Hindi film industry.

"For me Bollywood is my priority. This is where I was born and I want to die. It gives me maximum pleasure dancing and singing. In fact, I was missing song sequences when I was shooting for 'Love has..', " said the actress, who debuted with "Janasheen" in 2003.

The film bombed at the box office but she kept getting offers and featured in films like "No Entry", "Zinda", "Tom, Dick and Harry" and "Apna Sapna Money Money".

She feels her performance in Vikram Bhatt's "Red" helped her bag the international projects as the makers of the movies signed her after seeing the film that also starred Aftab Shivdasani.

"I was very hurt when 'Red' did not work. I took it personally and thought I wasn't ready for serious films, " said Celina, who will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's comedy "Golmaal Returns".

Celina thinks comedy is her forte and does not want to experiment much with other genres.

"I am good at comedy and people have also liked me in comedy films. So why should I experiment with other things? I am satisfied and happy doing comedies; so are my fans.

" 'No Entry', 'Apna Sapna Money Money', 'Golmaal Returns' are my best films till date. In these three films, I loved my character. I feel the same for 'Golmaal Returns' too."

In "Golmaal Returns", Celina plays a de-glamourised South Indian girl, who is in love with a Marathi guy, played by Shreyas Talpade.

"I think people will definitely like and enjoy our love track as it is really funny, " she said.

The other projects Celina has signed on include Mukta Arts' "Paying Guest" and "Hello Darling", Aditya Datt's "Chaai Garam", Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Showman" and Ashtavinayak's "Run Bhola Run".

There is so much I learnt from Kareena Kapoor: Celina

In your film career so far, you've been a part of seven comic capers. What made you sign your eight - Golmaal Returns?
I did Golmaal Returns because I loved the prequel Golmaal and somehow I wanted to do a movie which would have the capability to become as big as a No Entry.

The role I portray in Golmaal Returns was offered to me only because my director Rohit Shetty was confident that I could play a de-glam girl in the film compared to all other heroines who are present.

I play a South Indian woman who is called Mira Nair. She comes from a very strict Brahmin family. I was looking forward for a role like that because I am fed up of doing glamorous roles. There is much more to me than just being a barbie on screen.

But in a highly male dominated film, do you think you will be noticed?
Yes, Golmaal Returns is a male dominated film but it's also a story. As an actor, I believe that all actors make up a story. Even with one of the character's missing, the story can take a bad turn.

So, I always see to it that a particular role suits my image. Here I was going to be seen in a new avatar. Secondly, this is a role which the children are going to love and thirdly I wanted to work with Rohit Shetty. Then it was my first time with Ajay Devgan.

It was an amazing experience. It was also my second time with Shreyas Talpade who plays my co-star in Golmaal Returns.

Then I worked with Kareena Kapoor for the first time and it is always nice to be working with someone who is your senior and who knows much more about the film industry. After all, she comes from a practically a historical film family. It was a great experience for me overall and there was so much I learnt from it.

Did the entire cast and crew miss the presence of Sharman Joshi who was in the prequel Golmaal?
With Shreyas Talpade coming in the picture, no body is going to remember Sharman Joshi. Shreyas is a brilliant actor and I don't need to prove that. We all know him for Iqbal, Dor and Om Shanti Om. He is very versatile and he can play any given role with a lot of belief.

Did you have to go through any South Indian tuitions or training classes for your role?
(laughs) Golmaal Returns cinematographer was fondly called Nutty, short for Natarajan. Me and Shreyas used to go to him and ask him, "Agar Bachao bolna hai to kaise bolna hai?" (laughs).

So I was the one who was using the maximum South Indian words. Even though I was a girl born and brought up in Mumbai, you still have a tendency to use your Bengali, South Indian or a Gujarati language at home.

Credit should go to Nutty Sir for bearing me throughout Golmaal Returns.

So how is the de-glam Celina attired in the film?
Very simple, with kurta's, jeans and jholas and of course, the South Indian saree and the ghaghra - choli which many wear down south. I am also wearing black contact lenses which were ordered for me especially from London.

Practically no make up for me except the kaajal. My character took a real turn when I and Shreyas were filming this engagement scene in the hotel where I was wearing the lehenga with gajra and a choti.

A typical South Indian look. We had some aunts and uncles too in the scene. But some of the people from the hotel misunderstood us as the South Indian family. It was hilarious.

With you being paired opposite Shreyas, are we going to see you with any of the other co-actor in the film?
Yes. For a change, Golmaal Returns is not cliched. I've got many scenes with Ajay Devgan in the film. It was interesting working with him because I've been a big fan of his since I saw Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He is a very intense actor. He is my favourite romantic hero too.

Tell us a bit about the unexplored side of the funny bunch of actors in the film.
Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade are the most fun co-stars I've worked with till date. Three of us get along like a house on fire. We'd start laughing in the morning and after pack up we stop. We keep on sending messages to each other talking nonsense all day long. It is fun.

Why would people return to watch Golmaal Returns this time around?
Honestly, leave your mind at home, brains at home. Come with an open heart with full entertainment. Laugh a lot and go back home and then again if you feel watching it twice, come back or should I say - Return?

You will see the lightest side of the most complex situations that people are put into in Golmaal Returns. It's not slapstick, it's situational.

This time around, are we going to see the scene continue from where it was left in Golmaal one where Ajay and Arshad do a spoof on the film Black?
(laughs) How did you come to know about this? But yes, the most famous 'Black' scene is there in part two too and I am somewhere there in it.

We started shooting that scene on the same day of the Press conference we had for unveiling the first look of Golmaal Returns. That same day at 11pm, we started and finished it at 7am the next day. In fact, you will see Black and Red too (laughs). Don't worry, Red is just me being silly.

Do you think that Golmaal Returns is the apt title for the second part?
Yes, because the first part Golmaal was a hit. Everybody knew Golmaal and the title track of the film. So when you're trying to create the same magic for the similar star cast with the same kind of story continuing, I think nothing could be better than adding 'returns' to the first name.

Tell us about one of the famous Mithun Chakraborty song you sang and fell down laughing.
(laughs) We were singing 'Zoobie Zoobie Zoobie' from the film Dance Dance. And Shreyas and Tusshar also joined in the act. It's one of our all time favourite songs. We sang the song all the way to Thailand and back. Imagine us three dancing to the song (laughs).

Are you aware of the fact that the media counts you as one of the most intelligent actresses around after Lara Dutta?
Me and Lara are best of friends. So it's good to know that. I don't know what makes me intelligent. I just speak my mind and if you think that's intelligent then be it.

Me and Lara come from a very strong third and fourth generation
