Former manager says Michael cried a lot

Michael Jackson increased his drug use after the child sex allegations piled up and he used to cry often, says the late pop star's former manager Dieter Wiesner who also said that Jackson was in a "pathetic condition" before he died, battling drinks and weakness.

Wiesner claims that Jackson increased his drug use as the child sex allegations piled up, thesun.co.uk reported. Wiesner also reveals that Jackson cried often because he thought no one loved him and that his addiction really worsened after the Martin Bashir documentary in 2003 where he was questioned about sleeping with children.

"It broke him. It killed him. He took a long time to die, but it started that night. Previously the drugs were a crutch, but after that they became a necessity. They got him through his days and insomnia-riddled nights. And the people who gave them knew what they were doing. They should never have been around him," said Weisner.

"Those drugs and the 'Jesus Juice' - Michael's name for wine - began to claim him. I'll never forget the day at Neverland when he walked into the kitchen to eat. He was off his face, he couldn't even bring the fork up to his mouth. It was like watching a clumsy robot. There he was, one of the most talented guys on the planet, unable to even eat because he was so doped up," he added.

Weisner joined Jackson in 1996-97 and says during that time also he used to take drugs.

"There were drugs then. He said they were for stress. I noticed those man-child qualities - the boy who wants to be loved on one side, the business and musical genius on the other. And the drugs moved in to destroy both," he said.

"One day he sat down and just started to cry. He had $500 million in the bank and sold the biggest album of all time. I told him he had everything to live for. There was an inner melancholy to him. Once I asked about the pills. He said, 'I get the best ideas when I'm in this situation'.

"He really thought the drugs made him creative when all they were doing was killing him. When paranoid on drugs, he was scared social services would take his children away," he added.

Rakhi Sawant serious about finding husband on reality show

It’s not a publicity stunt, she says

Rakhi Sawant went overboard when she announced that she would find her life partner through a reality show "Rakhi Ka Swayamvar". But now the outspoken actor, renowned more for her voluptuous looks than acting skills, says she is not doing it to hog the limelight.

"This (show) is not a publicity stunt or an entertainment show. All I can say is I am honestly looking for a partner with whom I can spend my life and who will love me for what I am," Rakhi told IANS in an e-mail interview.

"Like most other celebrities, I have often been misinterpreted. The 'Swayamvar' will show the world the real me. Like any other girl even I have dreamt of a family, a loving husband and a caring mother-in-law. I have all the qualities of an ideal wife," she added.

"Rakhi Ka Swayamvar", which premiered on NDTV Imagine on Monday (, has 16 men wooing Rakhi at Udaipur's Fateh Garh Palace. They will be put through a series of challenges to test their personality, character, physical fitness, talent and also their compatibility with Rakhi.

All through the series, viewers can help Rakhi decide, by voting for or against the prospective grooms and the final week will present the wedding celebrations.

Rakhi, who has played bit roles in films like "Main Hoon Na" and done item numbers in films like "Krazzy 4" and "1920", says her mother was one among the thousands of people who were shocked with her decision about marrying this way.

"Initially my mother was also in a shock just like everyone else. But now, when I have explained it to her, she understands my side of the story better. This 'swayamvar' is not just about me getting married, it's about a girl's right to have an equal say in this big decision," she said.

In the first episode, all contestants tried to show their better side to the bride-to-be, but Rakhi, who was earlier dating small time actor Abhishek Awasthi, has her own set of parameters for her Mr. Right.

"Like any other girl I am expecting a suitable match for myself - I want my prince charming. Someone who would love me and take care of me and be with me in good and bad times. He should be someone who respects women, appreciates my talent and allows me to work even after marriage. I'm looking forward to be a part of a family that loves and cares for me," she said.

As of now, Rakhi is busy analysing the traits of each of the contestants while also trying hard to be at her demure best.

According to sources in the channel, the show will not run for over a month.

When asked about her prospective guest list for the D-day, Rakhi said: "We shall end up spending the whole evening if we start putting the guest list together. All I would say is that all my friends will be a part of the wedding."

To further promote "Rakhi Ka Swayamvar", the channel has introduced a special online game, in which a man (the player) is supposed to either catch Rakhi's kisses or be a victim of shoes.

Jackson’s funeral could be of ‘historic proportions’

Memorial events likely to unite his one billion fans

Pop legend Michael Jackson's body could be displayed in a glass coffin to allow fans from across the world to say their final goodbyes to the late superstar.

The 50-year-old singer's family is discussing the possibility of placing his body in a see-through casket to allow his fans to say their goodbyes following his death last Thursday (June 25), reports contactmusic.com.

The idea has reportedly split his siblings and parents because his mother Katherine and father Joe are devout Jehovah's witnesses and according to the faith, it is important to bury bodies quickly after death.

"The idea is causing internal stress within the family. The glass casket idea would create so much public interest it would take time to organise. People would make the pilgrimage from the other side of the world. The question that keeps coming back is, 'What would Michael have wanted?'," said a source close to the family.

The family, on the other hand, are reportedly hoping to hold a global funeral celebration for one billion of the singer's fans.

Dozens of memorial events will be held in cities across the globe at the same time to allow everyone to unite for a universal celebration of his life.

A senior Los Angeles Police chief said: "We are preparing for an event of historic proportions. We will be co-operating closely with the family once they have decided where to hold the funeral."

His father Joe Jackson has however announced that the King of Pop's funeral will not be held until the results of the second autopsy are released, as he suspects "foul play" in his son's death.

According to other reports, Jackson’s body will return to his former Neverland Ranch estate in Santa Barbara, California for a public viewing on Friday (July 3).

Jackson bought the estate in 1987 and turned it into an amusement park. He moved out of the mansion in 2005 after local authorities swept through his private sanctuary looking for evidence to use against the singer in his child molestation case.

Following his acquittal, he insisted he'd never return to live at Neverland, but he retained a stake in the property up to his death.

Though funeral details are yet to be announced, a private memorial service is scheduled for Sunday (July 5) according to CNN.

Rudy Clay, the Mayor of the singer's hometown of Gary, Indiana, has publicly asked the Jackson family to consider burying or cremating the pop star in his birthplace.

Clay has told Chicago radio station WGN that he expects Jackson's body will be taken to Gary for a memorial service at Steel Works ball park he is planning for next week.

He says, "I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana."

Clay's spokeswoman Lalola Burns tells CNN, "The Mayor had spoken with a contact of the Jackson family and expressed our interest in having that to be a part of the history of this great family (sic)."

Jackson's father, Joe, returned to Gary in 2008 to discuss plans for a Jackson museum with the Mayor.

Jackson feared being killed in final weeks

He was concerned about his Beatles catalogue

Michael Jackson was haunted by the fear that someone was trying to kill him in the final months of his life.

The pop superstar suffered a cardiac arrest and died on June 25 after reportedly taking a cocktail of prescription pills at his home in Los Angeles - but paranoia may have led to the pain of his final days.

Jackson family lawyer Brian Oxman tells the upcoming issue of Life & Style magazine, "He feared somebody wanted to kill him.

"He was concerned people would kill him to somehow try to take control of the Beatles back catalogue."

Reports suggest Jackson may have left the Beatles songs he owned to Sir Paul McCartney in his will. The catalogue of hits were one of the singer's leading assets.

Meanwhile, close friends of the King of Pop have come forward with tales of the singer's final days, suggesting Jackson had been ill for weeks before his death.

One pal tells America's In Touch magazine, "He seemed to be taking a turn for the worse. Some of us suspected he was abusing powerful painkillers."

The source claims Jackson excused himself during a dinner party at a friend’s Bel Air home in mid-June - and asked to lay down.

The friend adds, "Michael was gaunt and had no appetite."

The Los Angeles coroner's office conducted a three-hour autopsy on Friday (26Jun09) and ruled out foul play in the Thriller star's death.

A final verdict will not be available for up to six weeks as officials await the results of toxicology, neuropathology and pulmonary tests to determine the exact cause of death.

Jackson's family members have called for a second independent autopsy. The results are pending.

Will Madonna headline Jackson tribute concert

It’s likely to be in Los Angeles

Madonna has been tipped to headline a special tribute gig in memory of tragic superstar Michael Jackson.

The King of Pop died unexpectedly after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles home on June 25.

His death came as he was preparing to launch his comeback This Is It tour, with a 50-date residency at London's O2 Arena, starting in July.

After hearing of his shock death, Madonna - dubbed the Queen of Pop - revealed she was planning to join her old pal Jackson on stage at one of his scheduled concerts.

Her manager Guy Oseary wrote in a Twitter.com post, "A month ago Madonna told me she wanted to do a surprise performance at one of Michael Jackson's U.K. shows."

Now reports suggest the show will go on for the This Is It tour crew - plans are reportedly afoot to stage a replica concert of what Jackson had planned as a tribute to the late superstar.

And the Material Girl is being touted as one of the leading stars of the show, which will see a number of artists perform cover versions of Jackson's huge discography, according to MSNBC's The Scoop.

Plans are still in its initial stages, but the concert is likely to take place in Los Angeles.

Promoters for Jackson's This Is It tour announced on Tuesday (June 30) that all ticket holders who had made their purchase with authorised agents would receive full refunds.
