Azharuddin's son Ayazuddin dead
Ayazuddin, youngest son of Moradabad MP and former Indian cricketer
Mohammad Azharuddin passed away today, following a battle with life and
death after his fatal accident on September 11.
Ayazuddin's condition had been "critical" for the past six days, even
as tests indicated dysfunction of his brain, a medical bulletin said.Ayazuddin, sustained critical injuries after a high-end sports bike he was driving skidded off the road at Puppalguda on Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad on September 11.
Ayazuddin's cousin, Ajmal-ur-Rahman, 16, who was riding pillion, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Cricketer and Moradabad MP Mohammad Azharuddin's son Ayazuddin passed away in the morning, said reports. Reports suggest that the death was confirmed by the doctors of Apollo Hospital in the morning. A medical bulletin revealed on Sept 15 said that Ayaz remained unconscious, his neurological condition following hypoxia (oxygen deficiency causing a very strong drive to correct the deficiency) because of cardiac arrest continues to remain of "grave concern", said doctor Hari Prasad, CEO, Apollo Hospital.
The youngster was hospitalised after he met with an accident when he along with his cousin Ajmal-ur-Rahman went on a bike ride on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sept 11.Ayazuddin and Rahman, his cousin were rushed to Apollo hospital where Rahman, Azhar's nephew was declared dead . Doctors performed a nephrectomy (removal of kidney) and removed Ayaz's left kidney which they said was required for his survival.Ayazuddin was earlier warned over the dangers of speeding by officials in his college, his college principal Rama Rao informed.
