`De Dana Dan’ Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif sizzling Rain song

‘De Dana Dan’ Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif sizzling Rain song

Bollywood Hot Jodi Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will feature in a sizzling rain song in their upcoming film “De Dana Dan”.

They will follow in the footsteps of some A-list Bollywood stars who have done hot rain numbers. However, while such songs in the past have been shown in the promos of the films concerened, this particular number, “Gale Lag Ja”, has been kept under wraps.

It seems Akshay Kumar was against the idea of showing the song in the promo even if it meant depriving the film of the immense publicity this song’s teaser would have brought.

For Katrina Kaif this song is a milestone. It is a dream of every Bollywood actress to feature in a well-picturised rain song and Katrina has got the opportunity with hit co-star Akshay Kumar opposite her.

In the song, Katrina Kaif is featured in chiffon saris and sexy designer blouses while Akshay Kumar is dressed in shirts.

Big Boss 3 winner predictions

With just a few weeks left for Big Boss 3 to reach its end, a lot of permutations and combinations are being discussed not just within the Big Boss house but also by its viewers about who will be the winner of the show.As of November 21, 2008, only eight people remain in the house, out of the original 15, including the two wildcard entrants, Vinod Kambli and Pravesh Rana.

The last member to be evicted was ex-cricketer Vinod Kambli.

The eight remaining Big Boss 3 contestants are:

1) Aditi Gowatrikar
2) Claudia Ciesla

3) Poonam Dhillon
4) Rohit Varma
5) Bhaktiyar Irani
6)Pravesh Rana

7) Raju Srivastava

8) Vindu Dara Singh

Who’s going to be the Big Boss 3 winner?

Historically, Big Boss winners have been male, be it Rohit Roy who won Big Boss 1 or Ashutosh Kaushik, winner of Big Boss 2.

Will Big Boss 3 break the gender jinx? Assuming it doesn’t and Indian voters stick by male contestants, then the choice would be between Rohit Varma, Vindu Dara Singh, Raju Srivastava, Bhaktiyar Irani, and Pravesh Rana.

Of these Rohit Varma can be safely crossed out, largely because of his unpleasant personality and maybe for being gay, which would be a sad reason, but then Indian audiences are not known to be too kind to transgender individuals.

One of the patterns that has emerged in the eviction choices so far is the audience’s rejection of contestants without any personality.

Bad but vivid is better than good or harmless and wishy-washy. Case in point being Kamal Rashid Khan. TRPs fell when the controversial director was thrown out. He has now been brought back through a wild card entry, which is suspect will only last a week tops.

Another example is Vinod Kambli. He made no impression in the one week that he was there except for flitting around like a specter.

Ditto for Sheryln Chopra, Ismail Darbar, and Jaya Sawant. Sheryln Chopra is also an interesting example. Many expected her to repeat Rakhi Sawant’s performance. Didn’t happen. Why? The girl had no chutzpah. Unlike a vibrant Rakhi Sawant who made her presence felt, Sheryln was practically invisible. Oh Jejus!

Why was the bright Tanaaz evicted then? Most likely because she was nominated with her husband, Bhaktiyar Irani. If there is a choice between a male and a female, the female will go.

So keeping the pattern in mind, Bhaktiyar Irani may be evicted because he is a big bore. The man behaves as though he is acting in a B-grade Bollywood film, crying and wringing his hands.

Then there is Vindu Dara Singh. The chinless wonder can drive anyone mad with his nonsensical chatter. It will stand out even more as the number of contestants dwindle. Therefore, he is likely to be evicted as well.

What we are left with are Raju Srivastava and Pravesh Rana. Here, things get a bit sticky. Raju Srivastava has a very big fan following that he is counting on. But, on the other hand, even though he has been funny at times, he has not really enlivened things.

Pravesh Rana has a decent chance too. He is young and good looking and has street smarts. He is also entertaining to boot; so it could be touch and go between the two. Depends on how many fans Pravesh Rana can acquire.

Coming to the women participants, if, and its a big IF, audiences are not biased against them because they are women, then who would have a good chance to win?

Of the three women participants left in the house, Poonam Dhillon and Aditi Gowatrikar are guilty of a cardinal sin. They are simply too boring. The former is like a proper mother hen (so not good TV) and the latter is too grave. Doesn’t work that way.

Claudia Ciesla may have a good chance to make it the top three but I do not think she will be the winner of Big Boss 3. For if ever there is a choice between her and, say Raju Srivastava, or Pravesh Rana, she will most likely be out.

So, my final three contestants are most likely to be Raju Srivastava, Pravesh Rana, and Claudia Ciesla.

We’ll find out soon enough, I guess.

'2012' Trailer - Movie Review: 2012

'2012' Trailer - Movie Review: 2012
For almost a decade and a half, director Roland Emmerich has been intent on destroying parts of the world and causing general chaos amongst its inhabitants. To facilitate this he has made full use of the special effects available, whether it be the giant lizard in Godzilla (1998), the flooding of New York in The Day After Tomorrow, or the destruction of the White House in Independence Day, his best film to date. However, not content with what's done so far, Mr. Emmerich has targeted the entire world and made 2012, using a Mayan doomsday prophecy as the basis - or perhaps excuse - to reek havoc on Earth once more.

And as hard as it may be to imagine, especially if you've seen Emmerich's previous work, the man has outdone himself in terms of scale of destruction and the visual effects which make it all believable (if that word can be used to describe an Emmerich movie). The film is all about, for its whopping 158-minute runtime, causing as much destruction as possible on a worldwide scale. And for that it achieves its primary goal. However, there's never anything different to the film than that, not really, and because of that it gets boring by the time we get to the fifth or sixth visual effects-laden destruction scene, and watching our hero, played by John Cusack, and his family narrowly escaping death gets more than a little bit repetitive and tiring.

The story is simple: a Mayan prophecy predicts that the end - or rather, destruction - of the world will happen in the year 2012. The government prepare for the worst, keeping that a secret from the public until "the time is right." Finally we land at the dreaded titular year, and things start to go very bad for humanity. Sea levels rise, floods are abound, earthquakes appear left, right and centre, building collapse, volcanoes erupt and you can add every other type of disaster you can think of to that list. We specifically follow Cusack's Jackson Curtis (something to be noted: switch those two names around and you have the real name of rapper 50 Cent - on purpose or just a coincidence?) and his family as they try to flee and evade disaster at every interval.

I won't explain anymore about where the plot heads (the ads probably do that for me), but needless to say there's a chance at survival for at least some of the population. The plot of an Emmerich film is never important, nor are the characters, and that's once again an issue once the appeal of the visuals and general destruction wears off. That sort of thing can only go so far before it gets tedious, and most of Emmerich's films have gotten away with it (just barely) because their runtimes are rarely that lengthy. However, at almost two hours and 40 minutes, 2012 far outstays its welcome, and the fact that it doesn't let up with its worldwide destruction means it gets boring way before the end credits roll.

On the surface it may seem like some attention is paid to the characters and the importance of their lives, after all the whole movie is about humans trying to survive what seemingly can't be survived (a certain pointlessness and hopelessness is at play). But if you look past the surface you can see it's all just "insert here" for any emotional moments regarding specific human characters Emmerich thinks we care about but we really don't. There is talented actors to be found, from Cusack to Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oliver Platt and Woody Harrelson (who's easily the best character in the film), but they're all completely wasted for the most part, with nothing to do but react to what's going on around them (something which is entirely unconvincing at the best of times).

The visuals really are spectacular here, even if the destruction they make at least quasi-believable gets tiring after a while. Shots of tsunami's sweeping cities, earthquakes causing buildings to collapse, and volcanoes spitting giant fireballs are often jaw-dropping. However, isn't that to be expected with a price tag of around $200 million? You get what you pay for, as they say.

For some reason a Roland Emmerich film has failed to have both epic destruction and crazy visual effects along with great character development and a strong story since 1996's Independence Day. Since then his movies have only really facilitated a sort of morbid curiosity in movie goers in seeing parts of their world destroyed, whether it by giant monsters (Godzilla) or by natural disasters (The Day After Tomorrow). 2012 is just another one of those, a movie which at first is entertaining in a "switch off your brain" sort of way, but which gets tiresome and repetitive before the half-way point, leaving you looking at your watch and wanting the credits to roll.

Some laughable dialogue and ridiculous plot points, under-developed characters played by wasted actors and a far too long runtime leads to the conclusion this isn't worth the time and money it takes to watch it. If you're a big fan of disaster movies you'll want to see it, and will be able to forgive it's huge flaws in lieu of the visuals more than others. But for everyone else you might as well rent one of Emmerich's other movies - in the end you'll get the same effect.

Katrina Kaif looking sexy in De Dana Dan

Katrina Kaif looking sexy in De Dana Dan
BollyActress Katrina has shed her coy and demure image, with a bang. Promotional photos of Katrina's new film De Dana Dan show Katrina Kaif is looking really sexy in a clingy wet sari in an intense lovemaking song-sequence with actor Akshay Kumar. And the question on everyone’s mind is, “Does this mean she doesn’t bother anymore about Salman Khan’s possessive diktats?” It may be recalled that Salman, in a recent interview had said ‘Upar se thoda upar aur neeche se thosa neeche, that’s how I like girls,” referring to how he likes his women properly covered up. “Katrina Kaif seems to be on a rebellious spree here,” says a filmmaker on anonymity.

Katrina Kaif, on her part, is pumped up about the song. “I am excited. It is for the first time that I have managed to match up to Akshay’s energy level,” she said. When asked about the sensuous dressing she said, “It is the typical wet song that every Bollywood heroine does at some point in her career,” adding that she got tired of changing her wet chiffon saris, which kept shrinking after every sequence.

“Katrina Kaif has always maintained in her interviews that she’s a jeans and tee kind of a person. She’s clearly trying to make a statement here,” says Mallika Sen, a media professional. “She seems to be trying to break her innocent and cute image and to get critics to take her seriously. Be it in Ajab Prem…, De Dana Dan or Rajneeti, she’s attempting variety in her looks and acting,” says an industry person choosing to stay anonymous.

Sources from the crew of the movie, which releases this Friday, reveal that Akshay and Katrina shot the seductive song without any hesitation. Later, there was a debate among the cast and crew on whether to use it as a promotional song but Akshay advised against it saying it may give a wrong impression.

Most Expensive Bollywood movie in India - Kites

Most Expensive Bollywood movie in India - Kites 2010
Bollywood Super STar Hrithik Roshan's home production 'Kites' has been made with a budget of over Rs 60 crore and this is the most expensive bollywood film in India from the Roshan banner. The film also has Latin beauty Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut. The movie has some intimate moments of Hrithik and Barabara and the movie is the much awaited flick.

Superstar Hrithik Roshan and mexican actress and model Barbara Mori will set the screen a fire with their hot scenes in the new movie Kites, rumors say.

The controversy around the kissing scene between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori during Kites movie shoot has barely subsided, when the next controversy has cropped up. Apparently Papa Roshan, who was none to happy over the Hrithik Roshan – Barbara Mori kiss scene, is even more discomfited over the highly steamy Hrithik – Barbara Mori scenes in Kites.

Rumor has it that the Hrithik Roshan – Barbara Mori sex scenes were so hot, that papa Roshan was asked to leave the sets by Kites director Anurag Basu. Basu felt that Hrithik would be very uncomfortable performing his sex scenes with Barbara Mori, if his father were around.

Apart from that, Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori are said to get on very well off-screen as well, which has panicked Papa Roshan even more. He is said to have flown down Hrithik Roshan’s wife and kids to Las Vegas, where Kites is being shot, to stem any budding relationship between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori.

Kites which was scheduled to be complete in September 2008, got delayed due to sandstorms in New Mexico where Kites was being shot. Kites will now be completed by mid-October, 2008. Kites stars Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, and Kangana Ranaut in pivotal roles

Mexican beauty Barbara Mori is a telenovela actress with TV Azteca. Barbara Mori is of mixed heritage. Barbara Mori’s father, Yuyi Mori, is of Japanese ancestry while her mother, Rosario Ochoa, is Mexican.

Barbara Mori has acted in many telenovelas, notably Mirada de mujer: El regreso for which she won the TVyNovelas Award. Barbara Mori has also acted in films like Inspiracion, Robots, La mujer de mi hermano, and Pretendiendo. Barbara Mori’s latest release was the 2008 flick Violanchelo. Barbara Mori is also a well-known international model.

Kites has been directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Rakesh Roshan. Anurag Basu has directed movies like Gangster, Life in a Metro, and Murder, all of which have been hits and appreciated by critics as well as audiences.

Kites is a dance-based bilingual movie (English and Hindi). Hrithik is a lovable (?) con artist who has two women on a string, Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut. Barbara Mori plays a salsa teacher, while Kangana plays the role of a siren.

Rakesh Roshan has directed most of the movies he has produced. His bumper hits like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Krissh 1 and 2, have starred son Hrithik Roshan. This is the second time Rakesh Roshan has handed over he directorial reins to another. The last time he did so, was the 2008 release Krazzy 4, which tanked at the box office and landed him into a legal tangle.

Kites will hit the movie screens in 2010.

Bollywood Celebrity Shilpa Shetty marries Raj Kundra

Bollywood Celebrity Shilpa Shetty marries Raj Kundra
Bollywood Star and Celebrity Shilpa Shetty married London-based businessman Raj Kundra in a "fairy-tale wedding" on Sunday, her spokeswoman said.

Shetty, 34, clad in a red-and-gold saree, walked around a holy fire with Kundra in a traditional Hindu ritual that signifies the bond of marriage.

"She was surrounded by her closest friends and family and the wedding was conducted in traditional south Indian rituals," Shetty's spokeswoman told Reuters over phone.

"This is it!" Shetty wrote on her blog (www.shilpashettylive.com/blog) a few hours before the ceremony took place in Khandala, a hill station 200 kilometres from Mumbai.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra met in London soon after she shot to fame as the winner of the British reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother' in a controversial 2007 season that saw contestant Jade Goody hurl abuse at Shetty, making fun of her name and her Indian origin.

The actress went on to host Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, and also launched several business ventures, including a yoga video and a series of health spas.

On Tuesday, Shetty and Kundra will host a wedding reception in Mumbai, with the who's who of Bollywood expected to be in attendance.
