Mohan Babu's daughter Laxmi Manchu to make Bollywood debut with Department

Veteran Telugu superstar Mohan Babu's daughter Lakshmi Manchu is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma's Department. She will be paired opposite Sanjay Dutt.

Lakshmi Manchu is not new to the world of showbiz, she is well known for her talk shows like 'Lakshmi Talk Show' and 'Prematho Mee Lakshmi'. She received a lot of appreciation for her negative performance in her debut Telugu film Anaganaga O Dheerudu. Lakshmi has earlier acted in RGV's low budget Telugu flick Dongala Mutha. Impressed with Lakshmi's acting skills RGV decided to cast her in Department. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan as a gangster-turned-politician and Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati as encounter specialists.

Lakshmi expressed her excitement on signing Department, on Twitter. "Signed a Bollywood film. Superrrr thrilled! Details soon. Thanq for all your love. Dreams do come true," she tweeted.

Kareena Kapoor agrees to play the lead in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine

All the speculations regarding UTV Motion Pictures and Madhur Bhandarkar's most ambitious film project Heroine finally come to an end as actress Kareena Kapoor agrees to step into the shoes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and play the lead role in Heroine.

Heroine has been facing obstacles since the beginning; first Kareena who was the actual choice for the role refused the film as she was not happy with the script and had date issues. Then Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was signed on for the film but after 10 days of shoot, she announced her pregnancy. There were talks of her getting replaced by Tabu or Priyanka Chopra. But no one was ready to step into Ash's shoes with the fear of offending the Bachchan family. Then there were rumors that Heroine was shelved.

But now ending all those speculations Kareena Kapoor confirmed that she will be playing the lead in Madhur Bhandarkar's much-talked about film Heroine. Considering that Madhur had written the script keeping Bebo in mind, he will now be a happy man. Kareena's dates, fee, etc are currently being worked out.

Bebo is surely going to be envied by all her contemporaries as she has just wrapped up the shoot for Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One, and is gearing up for her next release Bodyguard with Salman Khan. She also has Reema Kagti's next with Aamir Khan, Dharma Production's Short Term Shaadi with Imran Khan, Agent Vinod with Saif Ali Khan and Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time in Mumbai 2 opposite Akshay Kumar.

All is well as Tusshar patches up Minissha and Sagar

Tusshar KapoorAll is now well between Minissha Lamba and her director Sagar Ballary. The man whom they would be looking at thanking most? Tusshar Kapoor. Though there have been a series of verbal bouts between Minissha and Sagar post the release of Bheja Fry 2 and during the current promotional campaign of Hum Tum Shabana, it can well be expected to be a thing of the past since Tusshar has facilitated a patch up between the two.

"Recently Tusshar organised a small get together at his apartment for a private screening of a couple of songs of Hum Tum Shabana which were just wrapped up. Obviously other than Tusshar's close associates and friends, Minissha and Sagar were also invited and though they had some real serious differences with each other, they didn't want to say no to Tusshar", informs a source.

Though the screening went off peacefully and Tusshar was quite pleased with the final results, he could sense that something was wrong between his leading lady and the director.

"He was unaware about the ongoing tussle between them and realised it only during the party when he saw them maintaining a distance from each other", says a guest who saw the event unfold first hand, "When Tusshar contacted some mutual friends, he was told about the war of words between Minissha and Sagar. Tusshar couldn't believe his ears since everything had gone so well during the making of the film and something like this was totally unexpected."

Resultantly, Tusshar immediately pulled out both Minissha and Sagar out of the crowd and took them to another corner of the apartment. However instead of reasoning with them or trying to put forth his point of view, he merely asked them to settle their differences like mature individuals rather than making it a public 'tamasha'. As it eventually turned out, this is all that was required for the two friends who came back smiling in a matter of 15-20 minutes and declared that all was eventually well.

When contacted Tusshar confirmed that an incident like this had indeed taken place though he refuses to comment on the conversation that transpired between Minissha and Sagar during the minutes they spent together in isolation.

"I have no business to ask them what they spoke about; it's between them. All I know is that they walked out of my apartment smiling and promised that they were good with each other now. I guess it was just a little misunderstanding and nothing really serious. Also Minissha isn't someone who can really hold a grudge against someone for too long. Everything is sorted out now and they are back to being friends", declares Tusshar. Hope the two friends also feel the same

A film like BUBBLE GUM also takes you back to those years when Facebook, Twitter, internet, TV and cell phones didn't exist. Sure, a film like BUBBLE GUM will not set the box-office ablaze, but a genuine effort needs to be encouraged. The difficult phase while one is stepping into teenage and the problems one encounters then -- however trivial they may appear today -- seemed so enormous then. One cannot go back in time, but films like BUBBLE GUM make you recall those years with a lot of love and positivity. On the whole, BUBBLE GUM has its heart in the right place. A film that arrives with zilch expectations, but succeeds in taking you back in time when life was simpler and sweet. Recommended!

No high drama, no pubescent hysteria, no artifice, no guile.... Yes,Bubble Gum is a sweet and sensitive ode to growing up in an age when there was no Facebook, no internet and no mobiles.Bubble Gum may not score high on the entertainment quotient and is definitely not meant for the popcorn guzzlers. But the film has a piquant charm to it, spilling over with mood, sentiment and message. Add to this, the life-like performances by almost all the actors, including the two teen actors (Delzad and Sohail as the hearing-impaired), and you have a film that offers a satisfying experience.

what makes Bubblegum an entertaining watch is the absolutely realistic & mature treatment to adolescent issues generally discarded as frivolous. Also it doesn't become a victim of Bollywood's fast and fabricated version of teenage crisis. But if you understand the film just as a story of blossoming romance, set within a teenage structure, you might only be partly right.
That's because the film is essentially a sweet tale of two loving yet bickering brothers

There are several nice things about the film. The let-the kids-be-kids tenet is adhered to strictly : adults come in only when they need to.Bubble Gum’ gets it to the rights, with its life-like portrayal of a couple of small-town teenage brothers experiencing the first stirrings of young adulthood. 'Bubble Gum’ suffers from some amount of narrative drabness, and some strange too-quick transitions. But it is a film that needs to be noted for its appealing cast and being true to itself.

What’s Good: A couple of emotional scenes; acting of Sachin and Tanvi. What’s Bad: Lack of light scenes; lack of emotions. Verdict: Bubble Gum is well-meaning but that’s not enough for a film to make a mark at the box-office.

The coming of age teenybopper, BUBBLE GUM, which is set in the backdrop of Jamshedpur, is a film that revolves around first romances, friendship, parent-child relationship and peer pressure. The best part about the film is its engaging performances and perfect casting and characterization. BUBBLE GUM is a refreshing, heart-warming tale that makes us nostalgic of the good old days. This 'Bubble Gum' must be blown! A must watch

Bubble Gum is surely about parenting. The story of the film Bubble Gum is very realistic, but it would have created more of an impact if it was set in today's time, the teens could have related to it in better way. The film has children as actors, but it is not a children's film. Few of the fight scenes look pretty unrealistic. Parents of teenage kids can give the movie a shot.
