Raj Kumar Santoshi is heard to be uncomfortable with Katrina Kaif on the sets of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’. The director confirms Katrina’s successful career and his series of flops in the past is the reason for his timid behaviour on the sets.Santoshi was quite modest to express his emotions before the media. He adds, “It becomes very difficult to work with an establish star like Katrina. I would be very reluctant to ask Katrina for a retake.

” On the contrary Katrina denies everything and says, “Santoshi is a fantastic director and has a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful time working together on the sets. Hope nobody takes him seriously on that.” Well, Katrina we take your point on that considering the jovial personality he has. Nevertheless, hope his fantastic humour works for ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ too.

In his first column done off the sets of Blue, where he had to fight an experienced underwater stuntman at 100 feet deep and had 40 sharks circling his head, Akshay writes, “For all those who think the colour of the sea is blue, look again... look deep into the jaws of the ocean, and believe me it is as red as the blood that runs in my veins... The scariest places in the universe are those where you cannot breathe alone — the moon and the ocean. The feeling you get when you first dive into the ocean, that jolt of anticipation of whether your oxygen tank is going to work, where your next breath is coming from, and then the silence, the bubbles clear from your initial splash and you take your first deep breath, it panics you because you pull in too hard for fear of not getting enough air in your lungs, then you look around and absorb your new territory, a world where humans don’t belong, where you are now at the mercy of what lies under the sea, breathtaking yet dangerous... "During the shooting of 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', Anil used to tell and teach me as to how concentration and focus are important things in an actor's career. This is one thing that I will not forget and feel that will flourish my career," Katrina said.

The actress, who has worked with several senior and experienced actors like Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Salman Khan, feels blessed to have such talented co-stars from whom she has learnt a lot.

"The more films you do you get more experience and then you get to know what you want to do as an actor, what different and special thing a role or a script you are looking for," she said.

Katrina who plays the lead role in 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', a romantic-comedy, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, said, "I was kind of chilled out and had fun while shooting with Ranbir. He is a good co-star who is passionate about his work and does not have ego."

'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' features Ranbir, Katrina and Upen Patel in lead roles with Salman Khan in a special appearance. The movie is produced by Ramesh S Taurani and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Talking about the film, Katrina said, "It is a romantic-comedy movie. Though hundreds of movies have been made on love but this is unsual, it is unique, wacky and stylish."

The film is a romantic story of two youngsters, Prem and Jennifer, played by Ranbir and Katrina. It is a love drama packed in fun and joy. The movie will hit the silver screen on November 6

The soundtrack of the much-talked about Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Aladin", a contemporary take on the classic fairy tale, is racy and energetic. Composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani have tried to go beyond their usual tunes and beats.

"Aladin" contains six originals and two remixes. It opens with "Genie rap", where Amitabh turns rapper along with Anushka Manchanda. The song seems to be a situational number and doesn't interest much.

"Genie rap" has a remixed version too by DJ Suketu. This version is faster and has more beats.

Up next is "Tak dhina din", the title track. Sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Shaan, the song starts with a bang and is full of energy. The tempo is maintained all through.

Then we have a complete shift of genre with "O re saawariya". It has a soft start but picks up pace later. It's an entertaining piece with a mix of classical and rustic influences. Sudesh Bhonsle, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan and Amitabh have lent their voice to the song.

"O re saawariya" has a remix version again by DJ Suketu. It is foot-tapping and adds more colour to the original song.

Next in line is the only soft number of the soundtrack "You may be", which has composers Vishal and Shekhar behind the microphone. A love ballad, it has a mix of English and Hindi lyrics. Soothing to the ears, "You may be" is a pleasing song.

"Bachke o bachke" sung by Shankar, Shaan and Sunidhi is another upbeat, foot-tapping number that has a long prelude. Initially the song seems just average, but it grows on you slowly.

Finally, there is "Giri giri", a different track sung by Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay doesn't do justice with the song and adds no vocal quality. It is an average number, even though the music is interesting.

On the whole, Vishal and Shekhar have composed fast-paced, high on beats songs and most of them are enjoyable.

What starts off as a seemingly innocuous encounter on the same flight back to Mumbai ends up as a roller-coaster ride through some of the darkest hours of Mumbai, as they see the city get swamped with disaster and loss ... and are forced to stick together in this time of crisis. The story shifts perspective between the past and the present, a glorious but crazy past of two starkly different people falling in love, the differences at first being exciting.

Gradually with time, they journey through the emotional pitfalls attached, the constant bickering, the frantic and urgent making up, and irreconcilable differences that give way to a final break up.

And then we see those very people struggling their way through a stormy night in Mumbai that threatens to take over the city, their fears and insecurities lying bare as their guard drops.

As emotions run high, the two learn more about each other on that night possibly than they knew in all those years of being together — tough situations call on some important revelations and they realize how transient and unpredictable life is and they need to make the most of the time that has been given to them together.

There is also Kareena Kapoor, who is nobody’s fool, and that also everybody knows. But what is just coming out is that the film has three kisses as well that Hirani was not keen to publicise until the film’s launch date. All three kisses are between Aamir and Kareena, naturally.

Aamir, incidentally, famously kissed Kareena’s elder sister Karisma Kapoor in Dharmesh Darshan’s 1996 film Raja Hindustani - a kiss that still holds the record for being one of the most passionate in Bollywood history. And for which, Aamir and Karisma had reportedly done umpteen rehearsals.

The actor continues to be a perfectionist with exacting standards. For a scene in 3 Idiots where Kareena blows him a kiss, they apparently did 14 retakes. That was Kiss No. 1. Aamir improvised then and got Bebo to kiss him on the cheek next. And that was Kiss No. 2. But it’s Kiss No. 3 between the two superstars in the climax of the film over which the buzz has already begun. It’s said to be a proper lip-to-lip kiss.

Aamir and Kareena have a history of near misses. They were to do Mani Ratnam’s Lajjo, a film that had a strong physicality to it, which got shelved. Then Vishal Bharadwaj’s Mr Singh & Mrs Mehta, whose original heroine was Rani Mukerji, but Rani reportedly walked out when she heard there was a kiss involved because she had already got flak for kissing Kamal Haasan earlier in He Ram! That’s when Kareena stepped in... but again, Vishal’s film too didn’t take off. Finally, Aamir and Bebo have got together for 3 Idiots. Happily, the kiss has continued to follow them.

Shiney Ahuja may not be a saint but he is not a rapist either, the actor's lawyer said pleading for bail.

Arguing before Bombay High Court, after sessions court rejected Shiney's bail plea in the rape case, his lawyer said that evidence indicated a consensual sexual intercourse between the actor and the victim.

"I (Shiney) am not a saint in a sense, but not a rapist," said advocate Shirish Gupte, representing Shiney.

Shiney was arrested by police on June 15, after his domestic maid alleged rape. Since then he is in custody, and the lower court is set to frame charges in the case.

Gupte argued that medical and other evidence suggested that intercourse was entirely with the girl's consent. Gupte said that there were no injuries on the girl's body nor were there any signs of damage on her clothes, to suggest use of force.

Also, no body fluids were found on her clothes, he pointed out. The girl's 'pattern of behaviour' shows that she was the consenting party, Shiney's lawyer argued.

"She was habituated to this (intercourse)", he alleged, saying that "she had history of closeness to men".

Gupte said that as per medical reports, there were no injuries on Shiney's body, barring one between two fingers of hand. "It could be love-bites... or she clutched his hand very hard," he said, adding that had the girl resisted, she could have scratched Shiney's face, or upper body, and face.

Gupte also alleged that on the night before the incident, the girl had called Shiney's house 10 times from her cell phone.

The girl had told the police that on June 13, a day before the incident, Shiney had touched her in a wrong way when she had clambered on a basin to turn on overhead water tank, and she had chided him for that.

She did not tell this to other maidservants or to anybody else, Gupte pointed out.

Even in the statement recorded before magistrate, the girl used the word 'atyachar' (atrocity) and did not mention rape," he argued, adding that medical report too does not say there was intercourse.

Gupte also mentioned that though the victim's vaginal swab was taken for examination, medical report talks about 'slide', and not a swab.

Refuting the lower court's observation that Shiney was an 'influential person', and he may pressurise victim if released on bail, Gupte said, "He is not on the high pedestal of acting. He is a small-time actor."
