In a few days from now, BLUE would be there for everyone to see. Touted to be India's first underwater film which would actually go on to match international standards of film making, BLUE promises to bring with it some never seen before visuals and stunts. Considering the fact that Akshay Kumar, the antagonist of the film, has been known for breaking the barriers when it comes to action flicks, what was his reaction when Anthony D'Souza a.k.a. Tony first came to him with the idea of BLUE?
''The first thing I did was watch straight into his eyes and ask him - 'Do you actually think you are capable enough of making a film of this scale, genre and setting? You may say that you want to shoot the film in space or on the moon but kehna alag hai aur karna alag! So how will you actually shoot the film?' - reveals Akshay.
As things turned out, Tony had done his homework well in advance and showed some of his work from the past which included certain advertisements he had directed as well as some groundwork on BLUE.
''Honestly, it all led me to at least started lending an ear to him'', confesses Akshay, ''I became further and further immersed into knowing how he was going to execute BLUE. After all there were also going to be extreme stunts in it and that too under water. Then Tony also showed me the work of the DOP. He is the same guy who has also shot PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. He even made me talk to him and once I did that, I was quite satisfied that at least Tony had his heart in the right place and he had done his homework well.''

Recall those years when partying hard was the only agenda on your list. Recall those years when staying awake at nights, chatting away with friends became a habit. Recall those years when bunking college and sneaking into movie halls was more exciting than books. Recall those years when you were completely clueless and aimless about the vocation you wanted to pursue once you graduated… That indecisive phase when you were hesitant to take that first big step in life can never be erased from your memory.
Sid thrives around his two best friends, Rishi [Namit Das] and Laxmi [Shikha Talsania], very rarely communicates with his mother Sarita [Supriya Pathak] and takes his father Ram Mehra [Anupam Kher] and all his hard-earned wealth for granted. Despite all these traits, Sid is an honest boy; sweet, funny and above all, a good friend.
There's no denying that Ranbir Kapoor is a supremely talented actor, but in WAKE UP SID, he proves that he's amongst the best in the business today. No one could've portrayed Sid as effectively as Ranbir has enacted, that's for sure. This is an award-worthy performance.
Riteish co-stars with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in Aladin and has mimicked everybody’s favourite hero in his forthcoming comedy. The mimicry was no mean feat as Riteish recreated Vijay Verma’s famous billa scene from Deewar.
Director Sudipto Chattopadhay says, “Bipasha does not play a real human in Pankh. She is a figment of the Jerry (the protagonist)’s imagination; an alter ego that he creates. She is neither a ghost nor a human but a fantasy who fits into Jerry’s emotional mood and psyche at a particular point of time. She has 13 personalities in the film which is one up over Priyanka Chopra’s 12 characters in What’s Your Raashee? I had written the characters with Bipasha in mind and I was delighted when she agreed to do the film as she liked the script.”
