Come September and Akshay Kumar would be back with the Level 2 of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.

With the show promising to be much jaw dropping and awe inspiring with dare devilry stunts being the order of the day, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ is already ensuring a high adrenalin drive.

Currently stationed in Italy for the shoot of Sajid Khan’s ‘House Full’, Akshay Kumar talks about how this show is all about the mind game, rather than physical strength.

So how does he actually go about inspiring his participants?

Says Akshay, "I inspire them by stating that it doesn’t matter how small or how skinny or how afraid you are; your mind is stronger than ten wrestlers put together. This is one of the only shows in the world that is truly life changing, and I stand by it. I want people to look back and know that there was nothing they were too afraid to try."

While Akshay is quite experienced when it comes to doing stunts, the girls taking part are perhaps amateurish. How did he personally motivate, help and guide them before the camera was turned on?

"I knew exactly what was going through their heads, the amount of fear they were feeling, when and why they would panic. But knowing the stunts myself like the back of my hand, all you can give them is severe warning about what could happen. As for the rest, you purely motivate them and tell them that God is with you", he says.

Akshay also emphasizes on the point around being completely focus on what you are doing.

"I prepare them well and make them focus. That's because it’s actually tiny mistakes that cost points, as well as injuries", Akshay says, "I am quite happy though with the participants I worked with in Level 2.

Nothing but the best for Sonam Kapoor !!!

When it comes to his daughter, Bollywood actor-producer Anil Kapoor wants the best. He has roped in award-winning writer Manu Rishi to pen dialogues for Sonam's next film "Ayesha".

"Anil Kapoor met me and said that he had seen 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!'. He also told me, 'You're very good'. Then he started talking about 'Ayesha' and told me that Sonam will be starring in it and that it's his home production. He said that he really liked my work and wanted my inputs for 'Ayesha'. That's how the film happened, " Rishi told over phone from Mumbai.

Based on Jane Austen's "Emma", "Ayesha" is a romantic comedy about an ultra modern girl who is wooed by three men. While Sonam is playing the female lead, Abhay Deol, one-film-old Arunoday Singh and popular VJ Cyrus Sahukar will woo her in the movie, which is being produced by Sonam's sister Rhea under their father's banner.

For the movie, Delhi boy Rishi had to pen "sophisticated" lines - a complete change from what he wrote for the earlier film.

"'Ayesha' is a very different film from 'Oye Lucky...' and not just in terms of the dialogues, also in the look and feel, " said Rishi, who won a Filmfare as well as International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award for best dialogues for his quirky and spicy one-liners in "Oye Lucky..."

He says that while "Oye Lucky..." dep***ed charms of Old Delhi, "Ayesha" is set to show a new "polished" side of the capital.

"In 'Oye Lucky...', the language was very, very West Delhi sorts and the protagonists were not very well read. But in 'Ayesha', the characters are from the upmarket Defence Colony, they are from English medium schools, etc. So that has brought in a lot of sophistication in the way we have written the dialogues, " he explained.

Rishi, seen as Abhay Deol's friend-turned-foe in "Oye Lucky...", says his role as a dialogue writer for "Ayesha" came in when a "male point of view" was required for the film.

"The film has been written by Devika Bhagat with Ritu Bhatia. So they wanted a male point of view as well and that's where I came in. I have written the dialogues along with Ritu, " he said.

Rishi started his journey with Delhi theatre and then shifted to Mumbai in search of work. But with a dearth of options, he ended up assisting actor-director Rajat Kapoor and kept waiting for good roles to come his way.

It was then that he started writing songs for TV shows and also took up work as a third dialogue writer to kill time. His patience paid off when he was introduced to Dibaker Banerjee who helmed "Oye Lucky..." and since then Rishi has not looked back.

He has done cameos in films such as "Mithya", "Ek Chalis Ki Last Local", "Mixed Doubles".

Coming from a humble background in Delhi and having flown to Macau to receive his IIFA award this year, he quipped: "I'm a real 'Chandni Chowk To China', you see!"

Akshay Kumar vows not to work in copied films !!!

On Tuesday morning the appeals court in Kolkata ordered that the entire boxoffice collections of the Bengali film Poran Jay Jolaye Re be deposited in the court. The film which was released a couple of months ago to a rousing welome in Bengal is said to have so far collected whopping figures at the boxoffice.

By depositing the entire collection at the boxoffice the producers Venkatesh Films of the Bengali film stand to lose a substantial amount of money.

Says Vipul, “They’ve to deposit every single penny that the film has collected.The judgement of the appeals court says that the ENTIRE boxoffice collection of the Bengali film be deposited in court.

It is historic in terms of violation of copyright infringement. To know the court can stop a film is a clear signal that plagiarism can be fought.

The judgement will now be a reference point for all plagiarism cases. It was needed. Every filmmaker contemplating plagiarism will now think twice.”

The alleged copyright violators of the Bengali film can now appeal in the Supreme Court.

As for the money that the court has confiscated from the Bengali film’s collection it is now legally a part of a damage suit that Vipul chooses to file.

“However I don’t want any monetary compensation. That wasn’t my intention. I wanted to make a strong case against copyright infringement. The honourable court has done the needful.I think it’s v***ory for all us filmmakers.

We used to make a joke about copyright laws by saying copyright means the right to copy. I think the joke has now ended.”

Akshay Kumar who’s the co-producer of Namaste London has decided not to sign any film that he knows to be an illegal copy.

Says Akshay, “By God’s grace all my films seem to be original. Even Vipul’s Action Replay which some people think is a copied from elsewhere (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button) is original. People who spread these rumours should be careful. Copying films is as serious an offence as accusing an original work of being a copy."

Aamir to be superhero Hanuman but there's a catch !!!

Producer Uru Patel has now zeroed in on Aamir Khan to play Hanuman, though God forbid, not as a monkey God but as a super-hero who can fly over mountains and skyscrapers and rescue the modern-day Rama from the ravenous Ravans of today’s world.

Rama and Ravan will be played by Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman, respectively. Sita was to be played by Shilpa Shetty. But she has opted out since then. The hunt is on for a new international face to play Sita.

Aamir has been keen to do super-hero film specially after Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh and Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming Ra.1 (where he plays a desi Spiderman). Hanuman will now be played as a super-hero with the best action directors and special-effects experts ensuring Aamir’s safe passage into super-heroism.

The whole project now depends on Aamir’s nod which he’ll give only after he approves of the script.

The catch is, Aamir’s signature will have to be on every page of the script.

Says a source, “Aamir wants to sign every page of the script to ensure no changes happen during shooting. Only then will he agree to play Hanuman.”

Apparently this is the method of working –signature on every page of the script-- that Aamir will adopt in all his future projects, whenever he signs more films. For now it looks like Hanuman will be his first assignment after the blockbuster Ghajini.

Earlier Hanuman was to be directed by Luis Mandoki (of Message In A Bottle fame). Mandoki wrote the first few drafts of the project. But now the chosen director is Chuck Russell whose familiarity with the language of fantasy (Eraser, The Mask, The Scorpion King, Mandrake) qualified him for the job of directing Hanuman.

A hush-hush meeting happened in Los Angeles three months ago at producer Uru Patel’s residence where director Chuck Russell met up with the project’s executive producer Pradeep Guha. The project has now passed into Aamir’s hand and his approval is awaited.

Says Pradeep Guha, “He has been approached. But Aamir will decide after he reads the script.”

Other sources insist that the makers of Hanuman are keen have Aamir on board and ready to comply with all his preconditions.

Once Aamir signs the film formally, the first schedule of Hanuman is expected to be held in Rajasthan at the end of the year. The rest of the film will be shot at Hollywood studios.

Prachi Desai is new face of Neutrogena cosmetics in India !!!

Bollywood actress Prachi Desai is the new face of international cosmetics brand Neutrogena in the Indian market.

US-based pharmaceuticals company Johnson & Johnson launched Neutrogena in the Indian market Thursday, offering around 25 beauty items ranging from fairness creams, face cleansing lotions to sun protection and hand and body care products.

Speaking about the endorsement, Prachi said: "The arrival of Neutrogena in the Indian market is going to be a gift for thousands of consumers who have waited long for products that really work."

The range is meant especially for the Indian skin type and the company has been testing the product for the past two years to suit Indian skins.

"We are bringing science to the art of beauty. For the past two years, we were understanding the needs of Indian customers because we wanted to give our consumers only the best, " said Swami Raote, managing director Johnson & Johnson (J&J), at a press conference.

"We are targeting mainly women living in metro cities. Therefore, our products will be available in major Indian cities and towns, " he added.

According to a survey, the skin care market in India is around $67 billion. This is because of the fact that women have become beauty conscious over the years.

"People want to look good and are concerned about fairness, aging, blemishes - in short they want to look beautiful. We have products that not only give complete solutions but also complete satisfaction as well, " explained Tina Mistry, vice president of J&J.

"The Indian skin care market is still in a nascent stage because there was a time when women were very indifferent about the way they looked. Things have changed today and young women want products that give them results, " she added.

The product range starts at Rs.85 and goes up to Rs. 500.

It hardly comes as a surprise. Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar has impressed Hollywood action director James Bomalick who has worked on flicks like The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift. The action man, who has worked with Akki in his forthcoming film – Blue, is bowled over by his passion and enthusiasm for action.

Dulha Mil Gaya starring, Shah Rukh Khan, Fardeen Khan, Johny Lever and Tara Sharma had been delayed for a while now but will finally see the light of day on November 13th. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Dulha Mil Gaya had its share of controversies.
