Aishwarya hurries to be with nervous Abhishek

Aishwarya Rai is currently wrapping her Robot film shoot in hurry to arrive back in India, just to be with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan on October 1st for his film, Drona's premiere in Mumbai.

Confirming us the news, Aish's secretary Hari Singh said, "Aishwarya was in Peru till last week for a song shoot of Shankar's Endhiran (formerly called Robot) starring South super star Rajnikant.

Now presently she is shooting for the film in the rain forests of Brazil. She wants to be with Abhishek's side on his big day on October 1st. She is as excited as him to check him out in his first super hero avatar."

One can remember, Abhishek making a late entry for Aishwarya's Jodhaa Akbar premiere held on February 14th at the Imax Multiplex in Wadala, Mumbai.

Abhishek was shooting in Jaipur that time for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6. He was to reach on time but a flight delay made him arrive at the venue at around 11:30 pm just when the film was about to finish.

But Aish won't be late and will attend the premiere along with Abhi. As Hari Singh has added, "Aishwarya will be reaching Mumbai a night before the premiere."

A source further added, "Before the grand premiere, a special show will be kept just for the Bachchans. Amitabh and Jaya early next week at a Mumbai preview theatre by director Goldie Behl.

Goldie is like family to the Bachchans and he wants to show them the film first before anyone else. Abhishek is a bundle of nerves and would most probably avoid being present at this special show."

Katrina Kaif se Bachna Ae Haseeno

Katrina is on a career high. Presently she is shooting in Philadelphia in the US for the Yashraj film with John Abraham and Neil Mukesh, directed by Kabir Khan.

Sources reveal that though 'Singh is King' is huge hit, instead of celebrating the success back home, she is shooting non stop for 18 hours at a stretch. Though she has been getting a deluge of complimentary call for the double hat trick in her career.

Industry folks compliment her on her dedication, hard work and professionalism. Success hasn't changed Katrina.

Industry sources also say that if Katrina would have been in Bachna Ae Haseeno, the film would have got a bigger opening, since she is considered as a lucky mascot in the trade circles. Incidentally Katrina was supposed to be in the film, but since the film would have got longer, the producer felt that it would not do justice to her.

Yashraj then signed her for the film with John and Neil Mukesh, directed by Kabir Khan, in a role which will have huge scope to perform. Infact keeping with her stature at the box office, she is touted as the highlight of the film.

With 6 hits in a row, and a promising 'Yuvraaj' later this year, Katrina is truly on a roll !!

Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors Movie Review

What do you say of a film that's a first for a newly-launched production house which is a very, very bad remake of a successful Hollywood flick? Just one word. Terrible. What were the makers thinking when they went ahead with the shooting of this film? I mean just a smart title to cash in on the success of Harry Potter is not enough! There is absolutely no mind, matter, nor any sense. It's just plain boring. Y A W N!
What might be a consolation for the makers is that the new generation of kids who might not have seen the very famous HOME ALONE flick might just dig into this. But then, 'word of mouth' is a very powerful tool these days. Look at what positive reviews and 'word of mouth' publicity did to MUMBAI MERI JAAN, and A WEDNESDAY!

This is a classic case of intellectual bankruptcy.

Kareena steps into Angelina Jolie's shoes!

Kareena Kapoor has stepped into Angelina Jolie's shoes. No, no apni Kareena hasn't replaced the firangi Jolie in any Hollywood film but like Angelina who enjoys dubbing for animated characters; Kareena too completed dubbing for one recently.

A close friend of the actress revealed, ''Kareena just completed dubbing for an animation film ROADSIDE ROMEO, which is a Yashraj Film. Kareena had fun giving various sounds for her animated character in the film.''

The source adds, ''Before proceeding with the dubbing, Kareena heard the story and made sincere efforts to understand the character that she dubbed for. Kareena knew that it is her voice that will put across the emotions on screen. It was hard work but after watching the end result Kareena felt all the efforts were worth it. She even saw KUNG FU PANDA for which Angelina Jolie dubbed for. ''

It may be known that Kareena and Saif have been roped in to dub for the main characters in ROADSIDE ROMEO that marks the debut of Jugal Hansraj as a director.

Says Kareena, �It was fun dubbing for ROADSIDE ROMEO. It's the first time ever an actress has dubbed for an animation film and since it was a first of sorts, it was particularly challenging.''

3 IDIOTS stay in Shimla, Saif-Kareena return!

After completing her part of the shooting for the Shimla schedule of Rajkumar Hirani's 3 IDIOTS, Kareena Kapoor along with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, bid adieu to the Himachal capital Shimla. It was a non–stop shooting spree before Bebo's departure and several important sequences were canned and almost 15 shots okayed, the most prominent one being Kareena's 'bidaai' ceremony, after her marriage to Sharman Joshi. A few outdoor shoots and indoor ones (in the Hotel Woodville Palace) were also canned. The hectic shooting schedule was because Kareena had to leave Shimla in order to go to US for the shooting of another film.

After the shooting was over, Bebo and Saif roamed around the Mall Road and the famous Ridge though they did not get out of their car. The next day (Thursday) Saif and Kareena left for Delhi, though the unit continues to remain in Shimla.

There is now news that Javed Jaffrey has also reached Shimla and has joined the unit of the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film. The whole scene has now shifted to the nearby famous tourist spot, Chail, where important sequences will be shot in and around the historical Chail Palace and its beautiful surroundings.

Why Vikrant Raina is close to Sanjay Dutt's heart!

Everyone knows how close Sanjay Dutt is to his daughter Trishala who is based out of the US. No surprise then that he found his role of a father in KIDNAP very close to his heart as he identified with his character of Vikrant Raina.

In KIDNAP, Sanjay Dutt's character is kept away from his daughter (played by Minissha Lamba) first by his wife (played by Vidya Malavade) and then by a kidnapper (played by Imran Khan).

When contacted, director Sanjay Gadhvi said, ''I think it was in 2002 or 2003 when Adi (Aditya Chopra) and my writer Shibani (Bathija) saw an episode of Farooq Sheikh's �Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai� on television. Sanju baba was the guest on that show. Shibani, my writer, was completely bowled over by baba's love for his daughter Trishala and could see the pain and angst in his eyes. She called me immediately to say that we had found our Vikrant Raina. I caught the episode later and couldn't agree more! Vikrant Raina was written for Sanjay Dutt!''

Gadhvi adds, ''During the shooting of KIDNAP, Sanjay was remind of his own daughter every time he'd look at Minissha. He'd keep asking me what he would do if his daughter ever got kidnapped in real life. In fact, the scene in KIDNAP where he is separated from his daughter is one of his favourites and the closest to him. It was so real–life for him that he actually broke down. His ties with Trishala have grown stronger over the years.''

Sanju had such a great time shooting for KIDNAP that he wants to play a father once again. He is keen to do a Hindi version of Steve Martin's comedy, FATHER OF THE BRIDE.

KIDNAP is an Indian Films – Studio 18 worldwide release, which is set to hit the screens on Wednesday 1st October, 2008.

Will FASHION be Madhur's first big success?

National award winner Madhur Bhandarkar may have impressed the critics as well as the jury with his hard–hitting films like CHANDNI BAR, PAGE 3 and TRAFFIC SIGNAL but there is no denying the fact that he has yet to taste big commercial success that will put him in the league of the Priyadarshans and the Anees Bazmees of Bollywood. His first big budgeted venture, AAN –MEN AT WORK with top actors like Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Shatrughan Sinha failed to make any impact at the ticket window. Even CORPORATE which starred frontline actress, Bipasha Basu tanked and his last film, TRAFFIC SIGNAL may have won him a National Award but it too sank without a trace.

This time around Bhandarkar is the joint producer (along with UTV Motion Pictures) and is pumping in a lot of money on his high budgeted (18–20 crore) Priyanka Chopra starrer, FASHION. So, should we expect a reversal in fortune for Madhur?

Well, as per a reputed trade expert, going by the excellent response to the promos as well as its music album, it seems like Madhur is on track to taste his first big commercial success.

In fact, from the trailor, the film looks like it is packed with all the masala, including emotions. Since no one has made a film on the fashion industry before this, it should also have the novelty factor going in its favour.

Who deserves maximum compliments - Abhishek or Imran?

Come 2nd October and Bollywood would witness yet another interesting clash between the two biggies Abhishek–Priyanka starrer DRONA and Sanjay–Imran starrer KIDNAP. A lot has been written and talked about both these films. Apart from the fact that both are set to hit the screens on same day, the one thing which is being widely raved about is the new look of either of the actors – Abishek Bachchan and Imran Khan.

A lot of time and money was spent behind the styling of each of these actors.

While Abhishek sports an unconventional organic look for his superhero act in DRONA than the cute kidnapper Imran dons a complete funky and trendy attire.

Abhishek's look in DRONA is inspired by the traditional Indian bridegroom and medieval warriors, contrary to what most western superheroes wear. Imran's styling has been given a western touch keeping current fashion in mind.

If Abhishek's vintage look with an earthy appeal absorbs one's attention than Imran's dashing new avatar with a tattoo on his neck, a muscular body with stubbled face sporting a Mohawk haircut is definitely mesmerizing.

Both the female charmers are looking absolutely stunning and hot.
