Priyanka Chopra is wearing beachwear, not bikini in Dostana

Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming film Dostana presents the actress in a very glamourous makeover.

Shot mostly on the scenic beaches of Miami, the film, produced by Karan Johar and directed by his assistant Tarun Mansukhani, stars Priyanka Chopra as the love interest of John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan .

Reports claimed that Priyanka dons bikini for many steamy scenes in the film, but the actress has denied it.
“I am wearing beachwear, not bikini,” says the actress who has returned from Miami and is presently busy promoting her next release Love Story 2050 with Harman Baweja .

By a remarkable co-incidence, Priyanka has signed another romantic movie with Harman, titled What’s Your Raashi to be made by Ashutosh Gowarikar .

Priyanka says it’s great to tag up with her “good friend” Harman in two romantic films.

Good friend? Come on Priyanka, accept it!

Reliance buys Himesh Reshammiya starrer for Rs.3.5 bn

Mumbai, June 13 (IANS) After making inroads into Hollywood and buying about 250 movie screen chains in 28 cities across the US, Reliance BIG Entertainment (RBE) has now acquired theatrical and other rights of a Bollywood film at a whopping price.

Recently, RBE bought the world theatrical, satellite and Internet rights of T. Series' much talked about film 'Karzzz' for Rs.3.5 billion (Rs.35 crore). Apparently, this is the highest price a movie starring composer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya has got so far.


Of course, T. Series mounted the movie at a lavish scale and reportedly spent Rs.2.8 billion (Rs.28 crore) on its production.


'Karzzz' is the first of the three-movie deal Reshammiya had recently signed with the company for an undisclosed amount.


Apart from the Rs.3.5 billion it has already received from RBE by selling the remaining rights of the movie, including from music sales, T. Series is expected to earn at least another Rs.2.5 billion or so.


'Karzzz' is a re-make of Subhash Ghai's hit movie of the same name which was released in the early 1980s. Indra Kumar, who had himself given a number of hits in the late eighties, has directed 'Karzzz' and his daughter, Shweta Kumar, makes her debut in it, playing the female lead opposite Reshammiya.


The cast includes Urmila Matondkar, Danny Denzongpa, Gulshan Grover and Raj Babbar.

Sonam Kapoor sheds 35 kgs for Dilli 6

Anil Kapoor, known to be one of the slimmest actors Bollywood has ever produced, has now decided to make his daughter slimmer than ever before. And he found an ingenious way of letting her know his slimming intentions. He got her a fat-free- sugarless cake on her birthday on Monday.



Known for her sweet tooth, Sonam caught on quickly and got seriously worried. “I thought I had slimmed enough. I lost 35 kgs before Saawariya. I’ve been constantly keeping my weight down. But I think Dad knows the other girls are looking very slim these days. It was his way of letting me know that I needed to get even thinner. A strange present on my birthday.”

With a string of illnesses in the family suddenly happening all at once, Sonam Kapoor just didn’t feel like celebrating her birthday. “None of us was in the mood to party. Dad did get me a sugar-free cake and I blew out the candles in front of my family. But that’s about it. There were too many illnesses and hospitalizations in the family.”

But Dad Anil Kapoor did make a ‘weighty’ statement. Sonam has caught on. “I’m going on a diet. I need to get thinner to look comparable with the other girls. Look at Deepika. She’s athletic and slim. I’m not an athlete. But I’m a runner. I love to go on long runs all on my own for miles and miles. That is a sure way to lose weight.”

But now with dad’s prodding her into a fat-free awakening Sonam is about to lose more kilos. “I have to. It’s not a vanity. It’s for my sanity. I can’t be happy being healthy when the other girls are frantically losing weight. So thanks to my Dad I’m losing more weight.”

And what else did Sonam do on her birthday? “Nothing. Saw a film and went to sleep early since I needed to look fresh the next morning to shoot for Dilli 6.”

Is Vidya Balan the worst Bollywood Dancer?

Vidya Balan had a tough time matching up with Shahid Kapoor while shooting a dance number for the promotional video of Kismet Konnection. It took more than 25 takes before one single dance step could be finalised.

The sensuous number, choreographed by Ahmed Khan, required Vidya to pirouette in high heels, and she was clearly ill at ease. A source who was present on the sets said, “Vidya took more than 25 takes to get her moves right. She had never done such a dance number before. To top it all, she had to wear high heels.”

Choreographer Ahmed jumped to Vidya’s defense and said, “Even though she had a difficult time keeping up with a super-swift Shahid, she did not request me to change the steps. Besides, this is the first time that she was shooting a racy, western number.”

Well we think Vidya needs to attend dance classes six days a week!

Saif Kareena Break Up?

The gossip mills are working overtime when it comes to the IT couple of Bollywood - Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Every second day too much newsprint is being devoted to incorrect stories on them. Obviously, it is uncalled for and it has reached a stage where both of them are upset about this. Recently, there were reports on Saif and Kareena having a spat at a recent awards function. According to one report, the fight was over Kareena's 'revealing' costumes. According to another, the fight was over Saif leaving the function early.

A source close to both the actors reveals, “This is getting extremely out of hand and upsetting. No one bothers to clarify anything with him or her and writes whatever they want to. It is about time Bebo and Saif spoke up and put a stop to it.”

Apparently, the truth is the exact opposite. For all those predicting trouble in paradise, here's the news.

The couple's very much together and happy as ever. In fact, Saif flew all the way from London where he was shooting for his production, Illuminati Films' first venture directed by Imtiaz Ali. A source close to the actor spills the beans, “Saif actually took a twelve hour flight just to spend three hours with Kareena at this recent award function. Apparently, he had planned this as a surprise for her. Bebo was caught unawares when he landed up and she couldn't stop smiling. In fact, he came all the way just to cheer for her performance and to clap for her because she received the Best Actress for 'Jab We Met'. He's extremely proud of her and is very supportive of her work. In fact, all this nonsense about him being upset about a revealing outfit at the awards is rubbish. Manish Malhotra who has been designing for her for a long time has done the outfit and he was very much aware of what she was wearing. And c'mon, she has worn a bikini in 'Tashan', so what's the big deal over an outfit?"

Kareena when contacted, true to fiery image, takes matters into hand and clarifies. Says Kareena, "Enough is enough. Why don't people check facts before writing? These stories are absolutely ridiculous and baseless. In fact, Saif came all the way to surprise me and I've never been happier."

So all you rumor-mongers out there, you have heard it from the girl. Get over this
