Comedies don't always have great audio tracks, but there are exceptions. And 'Ugly Aur Pagli' is one of them. Anu Malik's compositions are young and vibrant without sounding too mushy or immature.
Ishq Bector of 'Aye hip hopper' fame seems to be the flavour of the season. He sings 'Karle gunah ankhiya milake' along with Anushka Manchanda.
The track is a Punjabi-cum-Hindi one with shades of rap and hip-hop. It is fun, playful and peppy and singers do complete justice to the song. Kudos to Anu Malik for making it an interesting piece!
Next is 'Shut up aa nachle', which is sung by Anu Malik, Vasundhara Das and Dibyendu Mukherjee. It has a Latin flavour to it and lyrics by Amitabh Verma are in Hinglish. While Vasundhara's voice is very soothing, Anu's rendition doesn't really match up.
'Talli main talli ho gayi' is a sure shot dance number. Rendered by Hard Kaur, Anmol Malik and Mika, the song has a mix of Punjabi-Hindi lyrics that are innovative and good-humoured.
As soon as you see Mohit Chauhan's name on the credits of 'Yeh nazar aaye jaaye', you know the song shouldn't disappoint. No doubts, the singer has rendered yet another commendable piece that boasts of romantic music and lyrics.
'Yeh nazar aur ye' follows - an absolutely peppy and sprightly track. And Sunidhi's vivacious rendition does complete justice to the composition. It is a love piece that has a contemporary touch to it. While it is not a chartbuster hit, it won't sink without a trace either.
'Ugly Aur Pagli' offers enjoyable music and the songs have a special zing in them. It definitely makes for some interesting hear.

While Imraan Khan continues to hog the limelight for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa with Genelia D'Souza making her presence felt with her trademark smile, there is one face which is quietly waiting for it's turn to be noticed with the film's release this Friday.
It's the face of Manjari Fadnis who is the second leading lady in this Abbas Tyrewala debut directorial ventGenelia D'Souzaure and is already being touted as the surprise package in the newest romcom to hit the screens.
"And to think of it, I was the last person to be signed for the film, much later than all other major characters had come on board", says Manjari who is self admittedly quite nervous as the D-day has arrived.
"I had to go through a stringent process though to be a part of the film", confesses Manjari who had made her debut as the leading lady with Rok Sako To Rok Lo four years back, "I am told that there were quite a few girls who had auditioned for the role. Guess my hard work, luck and last but not the least, patience, eventually paid off."
Patience is one virtue that Manjari has certainly demonstrated since apart from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa and I Am 24 (which she has completed), she is waiting for the response to JTYJN.
As per sources, she plays the love interest of Imran Khan who has Genelia for company as his bum-chum pal. It is in the course of their journey that Imran and Genelia come closer which results in a love triangle of sorts with Manjari involved.
"Let me not comment on the film's storyline as it is for you to check out", teases Manjari.
"I am not in a hurry to sign any films as Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa is a big project", says Manjari whose Bengali film Faaltu recently won a National Award for itself, "I didn't want any inconsequential film to arrive in the time when I believe that Jaane Tu... would help shape my career in a big way. Harman Baweja is all set for grand debut to Hindi film industry. Harry Baweja didn’t left anything to make successful debut of his son. Promotion of the film was awesome and they also launched kids merchandise to attract kid’s audience to the film and making it big for his son Harman Baweja debut film Love Story 2050 premiered at a West London theatre on Wednesday.
Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani walked the red carpet with ease but Harman Baweja was looking bit nervous. Priyanka Chopra was dressed in black with silver jewelry on it and she was looking hot as ever and it was looking as she was participating in a beauty contest.
On occasion of premier, Harman Said”, I was bit nervous but seeing such a positive response from fans now I am really excited.”

Everyone surprised with the title of the film Singh is Kinng so few days back actor Akshay Kumar had disclosed the story regarding title of the film. He said once he was driving in a car and in front of his car there was a sardarji’s truck and there has been written some words which was Singh is King. He liked these words and found it the suitable title for the film Singh is Kinng.
Media asked him what the meaning of extra N in title Singh is Kinng?
Akshay laughed on the question, and then Vipul Shah, the producer of the film said, “I need the success of the film at any cost. I believe whatever we can be done for the film’s success we should and add this N to bring luck. So the extra N in the title is just to take it as Lucky number nothing else.”
Talking about the numerology in the bollywood, he said, ” Indians always believes in numerology at the time of special occasion like finalizing the big deal, purchasing new vehicles or at the time of Grihapravesh. We all always follow some special dates, the same as a producer I followed for my film who’s titled Singh Is Kinng.
The film titled Singh Is Kinng will be in the cinemas on August 8 worldwide.

Reliance buys Himesh Reshammiya starrer for Rs.3.5 bn

Mumbai, June 13 (IANS) After making inroads into Hollywood and buying about 250 movie screen chains in 28 cities across the US, Reliance BIG Entertainment (RBE) has now acquired theatrical and other rights of a Bollywood film at a whopping price.
Recently, RBE bought the world theatrical, satellite and Internet rights of T. Series' much talked about film 'Karzzz' for Rs.3.5 billion (Rs.35 crore). Apparently, this is the highest price a movie starring composer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya has got so far.
Of course, T. Series mounted the movie at a lavish scale and reportedly spent Rs.2.8 billion (Rs.28 crore) on its production.
'Karzzz' is the first of the three-movie deal Reshammiya had recently signed with the company for an undisclosed amount.
Apart from the Rs.3.5 billion it has already received from RBE by selling the remaining rights of the movie, including from music sales, T. Series is expected to earn at least another Rs.2.5 billion or so.
'Karzzz' is a re-make of Subhash Ghai's hit movie of the same name which was released in the early 1980s. Chillers and thrillers are a fashion statement in the Hindi mainstream today. Arindam Nandy, who honed his skills in advertising and made a documentary on the poet-couple Radharani Debi and Narendra Deb, called Bhalobashar Kobi Dampati, steps into the world of feature films with VIA DARJEELING, a Hindi suspense thriller.
The film is co-produced by Joy Ganguly, a Bengali producer and presented by NFDC under the Moxie Entertainments banner. Synopsis:
Ankur (KK Menon) and Rimli (Sonali Kulkarni), a newly married couple, visit Darjeeling for their honeymoon. The evening before they are to return to Kolkata, Ankur goes missing. Robin Bose on the eve of their return to Calcutta, Ankur disappears. The Inspector in charge, Robin Bose (Vinay Pathak) is committed in his search for Ankur but he is never found.A visibly shocked and disturbed Rimli gives him just a few clues. She tells him about a fight Ankur had with a cabbie and a mysterious man who, she felt, kept stalking her during her stay in the hill town. Two years later, Inspector Bose narrates this story to a few friends on a rainy evening during an adda session. When he cannot give him or her definite answers to where and why Ankur went missing, each adda member begins to give his/her individual version of what might have happened. One suspects Ankur committed suicide while another says he has probably been murdered. A third suggests that he was probably a con man who had his fun and disappeared. During this adda session, there is a purging of personal emotions of these people themselves, as their versions begin to blend into problems in their personal lives. Thus, the adda brings the mystery to Kolkata one night...'via Darjeeling'. Faces are unmasked and new ones emerge.
Lastly Nandy elaborates, 'The tributary of tales that our epics, Ramayan and Mahabharat are made of are primarily oral in nature. They have journeyed through tales, songs, paintings, murals, folk arts, and sculpture through the ages. This is probably whey Rama of Ramayan and Krishna of Mahabharat blend into one another as 'avatar' of the same entity - Vishnu. The roles change though the face remains the same'.
